00:00Hi Sean, you mentioned Chris Wood just there and obviously he scored a lot of goals for you at Burnley but it looks as though he's having possibly the best goal scoring season of his career now at 32, 33.
00:11I'm just wondering what you put that down to and have even you who know him so well been a bit surprised?
00:17Well possibly his maturity in the game, his knowledge of the game. He's got a different format they're working to there which seems to be to his liking.
00:26He's got wide players, they've got a strength behind them and they get the ball up to him quickly and that seems to be a thing that's good for him and not massively dissimilar to what we were trying to achieve at Burnley in a different format maybe.
00:40But yeah I think a lot of it credits him, credit to his professionalism to keep on top of himself. He had a quiet spell when he first went there and a few question marks over him, that can happen with strikers and he's had that before and he's come through it.
00:52So certainly a very good player and someone I've got a lot of respect for.
00:56Thanks, we'll go to Chris at the ACO now.
00:59Hi Sean, what do you put the upturn in recent weeks down to in terms of obviously these points you've made against Arsenal, Chelsea and now Manchester City?
01:07It's not like you've been clinging on, there seems to be a real sort of solidity to it.
01:11Players, without a doubt. Myself, the staff, the analysts, we play our part but players' delivery, I have massive respect for players.
01:18When they're delivering it as they are doing, the willingness, the desire to work as a team, it's a powerful thing and I think we're showing that.
01:25But it's one game at a time, I've always believed in that mentality but it's nice when you've got an underbelly of desire from a group of players who want to make a difference.
01:34And I think we've slowly but surely built to that moment, now it's taking the next games on and trying to turn draws into wins.
01:41But if you can't, then still not getting beat and staying true to that mentality.
01:45I'd like to put great stock in the group with Iliam Mendya again, I've seen he puts a real shift in but he's got those moments of quality as well.
01:52Yeah, I still think he's got more, I think he's learning about the Premier League and doing a good job of it.
01:58We've had chances in recent games we haven't took, but that can happen, particularly when you're playing against what I call the superpower sides of the division.
02:06But a lot of good work done from Iliam, a lot of good work done from the team at the moment, but we need to continually look at finding them chances.
02:12Not just defending well, which we have done for a number of games now, but also adding to the chance count and the quality of chance.
02:18Not just the amount, it's the quality, that's the key.
02:22Jack Harrison working really hard on the other flank and perhaps if he'd just done a bit more conviction at the end he could have won that one today.
02:28What do you say to him in those moments?
02:30Jack's worked tirelessly, he's a fantastic trainer, he's good in the group, immaculate professional.
02:36He does so much work, his tactical understanding is excellent.
02:39And as you said, just that belief now and again to just find that final moment, we've spoken to you about it because he's got real quality either foot.
02:47Just finding that tiny little moment that's so important, it's such an important thing, making that right decision at the right time.
02:55But he certainly has quality to continue doing that and will search to do it even better than what he can do.
03:02Any further questions, folks?
03:05Cheers, everyone. Happy New Year.
