00:03because of a heavy downpour last night.

00:16some residents are trying to open the gate

00:19of Don Marcelino Davao Occidental.

00:23Some were trapped by the heavy downpour last night

00:26because of the heavy rain.

00:27They were successfully rescued,

00:29including a pig.

00:35A bridge in Malita was damaged,

00:37making it difficult for motorists to cross.

00:40A motorcycle was brought together to cross the bridge.

00:44According to the Office of the Civil Defense of Region 11,

00:47more than 800 families in Davao Occidental

00:49were affected by the downpour.

00:53Some parts of Sarangani Province were also affected,

00:56such as Bayanang Maitum.

00:59Some motorists who were trapped by the downpour

01:01were forced to push their motorcycles

01:04and jump off the road.

01:14Vehicles were also stopped in Bayanang Alabel

01:17because of the heavy downpour.

01:19When the sun rose,

01:20they could see the ruins left by the downpour.

01:27Some animals were drowned.

01:29According to Alabel LGU,

01:31more than 800 families were affected

01:33by the damaged protection dike of the city.

01:47Residents were evacuated

01:49and the LGU provided first aid.

01:52The heavy downpour also affected Sultan Kudarat.

01:56The heavy downpour was accompanied by strong winds

01:59so the roofs were blown away

02:01and the walls of some houses were damaged.

02:04In Sambuanga City,

02:05a two-year-old boy was found dead in a ditch.

02:09According to the authorities,

02:10the boy was watched by a strong stream

02:12while he was bathing in the ditch with his mother.

02:20The downpour did not stop in Kasiguran, Aurora.

02:22Some houses were flooded in Barangay Marikiti.

02:25Motorists also flooded the city of Dilasad.
