Blackpool head coach Steve Bruce reflects on his side's 2-1 defeat away to Wrexham on Boxing Day, with a late penalty call going against his side.
Transcript
00:00Despite the result, how much confidence can you take heading to Birmingham after a performance today and the way you played against Wrexham?
00:05We played very, very well, didn't we? But, you know, we played very, very well and should have come away with something.
00:14And that's disappointment. Disappointment.
00:19Is it infuriating? You frustrated Wrexham for such a long period, it was in perfect defensive display for so long and it's a bad decision not to let you down?
00:26We've got a wonder goal and a bad decision. And it is a bad decision when you see it back. Bad decision.
00:31And the referee is eight yards away and didn't give it to start with. He only gave it when he was surrounded by them players.
00:37But it always tells you something. And look, it's a really difficult job being a referee and all the rest of it.
00:44But the big decisions are what makes a referee. Did he get it right? And he didn't.
00:51And I can only go against him. If he's going to go and referee in front of the big crowds and get to the Premier League, where I suppose every referee wants to get to,
01:00then them are the things that go against you, them decisions, because he's got it wrong.
01:05Result aside, how proud are you? Was that a Blackpool, Steve Ruth performance?
01:09I think what you're starting to see is it's not easy at the minute because we haven't got a lot of wide players to ask what we're trying to do.
01:19But look, Rome wasn't built in a day. It's a total change for all the players, really.
01:26I've been there for the best part of now three months as of September and October.
01:30I was away for a month, so it'll take a bit of time, but that's what we want to be like.
