The National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas) aims to assist at least 100 industry players through the Ziarah Madani@Finas initiative next year.
Deputy Communications Minister Teo Nie Ching shared this goal after visiting veteran actor Sathia Periasamy, 60, affectionately known as Sathiya, at his home in Setapak Jaya on Friday (Dec 27), and said 48 industry players have already benefited from the programme, which focuses on alleviating the welfare and health burdens of artists.
During the visit, Teo presented contributions from the Social Security Organisation (Perkeso) and Finas to Sathiya, best known for his role as Ravi in the sitcom ‘Pi Mai Pi Mai Tang Tu’, to assist with his medical needs as he recovers from a stroke.

01:54Satya, who has been in the creative industry for 42 years, expressed his gratitude for
