00:00Luigi Mangione his family obviously we thought this as this manhunt was going on and the more the police put out images
00:08Of him you just thought
00:10Someone in his family has to work it has to have recognized that one image in particular with the man when the mask was down
00:16You see his I mean, that's we are related to that person
00:20You would know that it's Luigi right and he comes from a very large family and we just found it curious that
00:26We hadn't heard anything about a report about them actually
00:30Contacting law enforcement and we don't know that they did contact law enforcement
00:33But it looks like law enforcement contacted them right a story over the weekend the New York Post broke that
00:40That the FBI a FBI unit contacted
00:45Luigi's mother and spoke to her about
00:48These images and what we're told what the report says is that the mom said yes
00:54It looks like my son. I don't know for sure
00:57But it does look like my son and what we know is remember it was the mother, you know months ago
01:05Contacted the San Francisco Police Department
01:07Saying my son is missing. She filed a missing persons report and she filed the report in early November
01:13But what she told the police in San Francisco, I haven't heard from my son since July
01:18And so when the pictures came out the San Francisco Police Department somebody there
01:24Recognized hit the picture that the mother had sent and said that looks like the same guy
01:29That was with a mask down at the hospital and the San Francisco PD
01:35Contacted the FBI and the FBI apparently then called the mother and has this communication with what's interesting
01:42This is interesting because now you you know, San Francisco is working on this
01:46They think it's Luigi. The FBI isn't spoken to Luigi's mother yet
01:52Right after Luigi's arrest you had NYPD their chief of detectives standing there saying
01:57We did not know his name before he was arrested now
02:00The FBI has just come out and said well, we did contact NYPD. So now the question what happened here?
02:07Well, they did contact the NYPD. How is the NYPD saying? Well, we didn't know his name
02:14Did it get lost did the FBI do it right did the NYPD ignore it? We don't know the answer to that
02:21I mean ultimately you could say look they got him, right?
02:24So they they did manage because of someone reporting it
02:27But is there a connection or was it just what we thought which is a random person at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania?
02:33I think it is. I think it is happenstance and you had NYPD standing there saying I do too
02:38We didn't know and it's
02:40Makes you wonder what was going on during this manhunt
02:45between the different agencies
02:47Luckily, they got the guy and as you know, he is still in Pennsylvania
02:52Can I tell you something that I just don't understand here this guy?
02:57Luigi is doing everything he can to evade detection to evade detection, right?
03:04Why do you sit at a McDonald's? I cannot figure that out, right?
03:10Why would you sit there? Why would you sit there? We're not only our other customers potentially gonna see you
03:16There are probably cameras around and you know, your eyebrows are distinctive. You know all of that
03:21I don't I don't understand this
03:24Maybe he kind of wanted to get caught because life on the run like that
03:27Especially as young as he is that's a weird life
03:30You have this whole thing where you want to kill this CEO
03:32But you don't think about everything that's gonna happen after that and so you're this, you know
03:37Whatever reasons you did it and now you're like trying to hide all the time
03:39I mean you have to eat so I mean he could have gone through a drive-thru
03:41But well, you got you you you go in and buy it if you have to and then you walk out and then you leave
03:47You don't leave a mask. I don't linger in the on your computer everything
03:51I'm thinking and especially listening to his lawyer in New York
03:55Who talked about this before she was hired?
03:58I think they're gonna raise an insanity defense here. I really do. Hey, it's Tasha from Brooklyn, New York
04:04Um, if you've been on tick-tock, you know, you obviously know maybe there's a little more to the story
04:09Yes, I totally agree that you know
04:11Why would you conduct such a stealth operation and then somehow end up in a McDonald's of all places, right?
04:17But I think that you know based on how Luigi operates there seems to be more to the story and I you know
04:25I think it might be futile to comment even before the he goes to trial. I don't know. It's so puzzled
