00:00The number of passenger arrivals at Mactan-Cebu International Airport has increased.

00:05And the PNP is ensuring the safety of the buses and terminals.

00:11This is what Jesse Atienza of PTV-Cebu reported.

00:17Officials of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority personally examined

00:22the four public assistant desks that are spread out at the international and domestic terminals.

00:28This is part of the Oplan Biyahing Ayos Pasko 2024 campaign.

00:32Their security personnel are also spread out in different parts of the country.

00:37And there are also operations personnel who are 24-7 so that there will be no problems during the operation.

00:45We have run this already several times as a template.

00:48So far, we haven't had any major problems.

00:50So we're confident that whatever comes, we will be able to handle properly.

00:56And we can give our passengers the best service possible.

01:00According to the MCIAA, the number of arrivals this year has increased compared to 2023

01:06due to the longer holidays in the province of Cebu.

01:10So our peak season really starts the second week of December,

01:13actually ends sometime in February because we also have, aside from Sinulog,

01:18we have Chinese New Year and we have Valentine's Day.

01:22Meanwhile, only a few passengers fell at the Cebu Port Terminal.

01:26Passengers traveling to Leyte, Bohola, and other parts of Mindanao are riding here.

01:33The situation at the Cebu South Bus Terminal is also the same.

01:36The inspection was carried out by the provincial director of the Cebu Police Provincial Office.

01:41The security personnel of the terminal and bus drivers were talked to.

01:46As of now, we can see that the traffic here at the Cebu South Bus Terminal is good.

01:54The situation here is good and spacious compared to yesterday.

02:02Yesterday, there were more passengers.

02:05So we're making sure that even though it's already the eve of Christmas,

02:10we're still here to ensure the safety of our countrymen, Cebuans, and passengers.

02:18In addition to the CPTO, there are hundreds of personnel deployed in public places,

02:24ports, and bus terminals throughout the province.
