00:17The Department of Tourism, or DOT, Calabarzon led the launch of Pasyal Rizal,

00:22a campaign that aims to show the wealth and man-made wealth of Rizal.

00:27This initiative aims to promote colorful cultures,

00:31historical buildings, and unique sights that can be found in the province.

00:35With the help of tourism officers from the province and municipalities,

00:39tour operators, academics, content creators, and media,

00:44delegates visited the towns of Montalban, San Mateo, Taytay, Antipolo, Binangonan, Baras, and Tanay.

00:53Here, they met local artists, small businesses, and cultural groups

00:58to promote the outstanding products and history of the area.

01:03According to Marites Castro, Regional Director of DOT, Calabarzon,

01:07the campaign aims to establish an inclusive model for tourism

01:12where all sectors are included and beneficial.

01:15When it comes to tourism development,

01:18there is a need to leave no stone unturned.

01:21That is why we are helping our partners, stakeholders,

01:26and also our local governments

01:29to assess what is unique in your area.

01:36Jennifer Reyes, OIC of the Office of Special Internalization,

01:41encouraged many to visit the beautiful sights and destinations in Rizal

01:46that are eagerly awaited by tourists who are looking for new experiences.

01:51There are many beautiful places, sceneries, and important things

01:56that we just discovered that we are excited to share with our academic sector.

02:04In 2023, Rizal was named as the most visited province in Calabarzon

02:09with almost 40 million local tourists.

02:14the improvement of services in the tourism sector

02:17is important to increase opportunities for economic growth.
