00:23Here are my takeaways.
00:24First off, this is the biggest win for Coach Prime.
00:28I think it's a proof of concept
00:30that you could not only get coached by Deion Sanders
00:34and really lock into some of that NIL money,
00:37get a lot more exposure,
00:39but you could also win a Heisman Trophy.
00:42I mean, I think this is hugely effective down the road
00:45in terms of boosting his recruiting at Colorado
00:48or wherever he winds up.
00:50Other thought, look at that top 10, Scott.
00:52I was fascinated by the top 10 vote-getters.
00:55What we're seeing now from Heisman vote-getters
00:58is it doesn't matter where you begin or where you play.
01:02If you get it done on the field, you're going to get votes.
01:05And we saw that.
01:06We had a true tight end in the top 10
01:08in Tyler Warren of Penn State.
01:10We saw kids who began their careers at Sacramento State,
01:14Incarnate Word, Jackson State.
01:17They played at places like Ohio in the MAC.
01:20So this was a very diverse group of candidates.
01:23Love to see that.
01:24Quickly looking ahead to next year,
01:26we'll have a lot of time in the offseason to talk Heisman,
01:28but watch the young kids next year,
01:31receivers like Jeremiah Smith at Ohio State,
01:33Ryan Williams at Alabama,
01:35quarterbacks like Arch Manning at Texas,
01:38DJ Lagway at Florida.
01:40Never too early to talk Heisman Trophy.
01:42We'll be doing that before you know it.
01:44Now, we've got playoffs, and I couldn't be more excited.
01:47Friday night, Indy, Indiana, Saturday, three guys.
01:51It's going to be spectacular for college football fans.
01:53Here are my general thoughts from a betters perspective, Scott.
01:57First off, look at the sites of these games.
02:00Three of these games in the Midwest, Indiana, Penn State,
02:04Ohio State, weather could be a factor.
02:06I like the unders in these games.
02:09I do not expect to see upsets.
02:11The under I like the most right off the bat,
02:14Friday night, Indiana at Notre Dame.
02:17Indy's got a great defense, great defensive line play.
02:20What we saw out of your Hoosiers this year is that
02:23when they faced really good defenses,
02:25namely Michigan and Ohio State,
02:27that offense grinded to a halt.
02:29Those two games, just 35 points combined.
02:33I think this game is played in the teens for the Hoosiers.
02:36I expect Indy to win something like 26-17, 27-17.
02:41Love the under.
02:42And then the other pick for this weekend,
02:44I like Tennessee getting 7.5.
02:46I've already locked in.
02:47Tennessee looks to me like a more polished version of Michigan.
02:51North-south running game, really good defensive line.
02:55That Ohio State offensive line, reshuffled,
02:57could have problems with Tennessee.
02:59Low scoring, close.
03:01I think Ohio State survives,
03:03but Tennessee's going to be really tough on Saturday.
