00:00Government employees are not the only ones who are celebrating Christmas this year

00:05because President R. Marcos Jr. did not forget the job order and contract of service employees of the government.

00:14Ken and Patiente are in the center of the story.

00:19Higher gratuity pay.

00:21That's the government's plan for the contract of service and job order employee of government agencies.

00:27Since the previous 5,000 pesos last year, President R. Marcos Jr. approved the gratuity pay for employees of the government of 7,000 pesos.

00:38If the number of government employees is more than 4 months,

00:42that's according to Administrative Order No. 28 issued by the palace and signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin.

00:49But worry no more because 6,000 pesos will be accepted if the employee has served for 3 months and is lower than 4 months.

00:585,000 pesos will be accepted if they are 2 months but lower than the 3 months they have been working in the government.

01:05While 4,000 pesos for employees who are lower than 2 months of employment.

01:10The Budget Department thanked President R. Marcos Jr. for this agreement

01:13to make it possible to increase the gratuity pay for COS and JO workers.

01:19According to the DBM, this is a big help to the workers especially since the calamities in the country have become more frequent this year.

01:26At the same time, the government will not neglect the COS and JO employees, especially since they have a big role in the government's work.

01:35They will also not allow the government to not accept COS and JO personnel this holiday season.

01:42Under this order, the COS and JO employees of National Government Agencies, State Universities and Colleges,

01:49Government-Owned or Controlled Corporations or GOCCs, and Local Water Districts

01:54will pay the gratuity pay to qualified COS and JO workers in the government for Fiscal Year 2024

02:01as early as December 15.
