00:07due to the non-stop rain,

00:09a faster and lighter flow of traffic

00:13was experienced on the other side of the continuous rain in Bicol.

00:25Due to the non-stop rain here in the province of Albay and Bicol Region

00:30that will continue until next week,

00:33according to the 5-Day Southern Luzon Pagada Weather Outlook,

00:36DOST VIVOX reported

00:38the possibility of lahar and sediment-laden stream flow

00:43from the Mayon Volcano to the communities and river channels around it,

00:48particularly to the barangays in Ginobatan and Karatingilog.

00:52According to Dr. Paul Alaniz,

00:54a resident volcanologist from the Linian Hill Observatory for Mayon Volcano,

00:59the local communities need to prepare for lahar flow

01:03because it has a capacity of a lot of water from the rain that will cause it.

01:07In addition, the lahar advisory will serve as the basis

01:11for the pre-emptive evacuation and local enforcement

01:15from the local governments.

01:17As of now, VIVOX is still monitoring

01:20any volcanic unrest of Mayon Volcano or any unusual activity.

01:25In other news,

01:26the traffic flow to Maharlika Highway,

01:29to Lopi, Camarines Sur,

01:31became faster and easier

01:33after the sudden construction of alternate two-way traffic

01:36on the roads entering Maytinila and exiting Bicol Region.

01:40According to the Land Transportation Office,

01:43earlier this morning,

01:44each lane is given 30 minutes for vehicles to pass

01:50and then the other lane.

01:53This action is in response to the government's disruptions

01:56such as soil erosion or soil scouring from the barangays of Kabutagan and Bulawan in Lopi.

02:03Vehicles are also expected to leave Bicol

02:07due to the upcoming holidays.

02:09To mitigate this,

02:10the LTO has deployed traffic enforcers in heavy traffic zones

02:14to stop the counter flow.

02:17Temporary operator's permits will also be issued to the drivers.

02:21The Department of Public Works and Highways

02:24has already added trucks and mobilizing equipment

02:27for the repair of eroded sections on the roads.
