00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the legal experts of the government to grant Mary Jane Veloso's executive clemency to Kenneth Paciente of PTB in a statement.

00:14President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has been granted Mary Jane Veloso's executive clemency following his return to the country from Indonesia to serve his sentence.

00:24According to the President, even though the Indonesian government did not give a condition for the transfer of Mary Jane Veloso, the government has ordered the legal experts to grant her clemency.

00:54It is up to our legal experts to determine whether the provision of clemency is appropriate.

01:07The President's reaction was not in the recommendation of the Quad Committee of the Congress.

01:12Former President Rodrigo Duterte and others were sued because of the campaign against illegal drugs.

01:18The President belittled it. It is now under the jurisdiction of the Justice Department.

01:22The recommendation of the Quad Committee is that when they do an oversight hearing, they will forward their findings to the DOJ with their own recommendations as to how to handle the findings in the hearings.

01:42We will go now to the DOJ.

01:44Even though the President said that this is still a long process, especially since he still needs to gather evidence for the case build-up.

01:52There are still a lot of things that need to be assessed.

01:56If the case can be handled, if the direction of the recommendation of the committees from the House is correct.

02:09The President shared his plan for this Christmas.

02:12He said that he will celebrate Christmas here in Manila with First Lady Luis Araneta Marcos.

02:17They also plan to visit Baguio and Ilocos.

02:20Even though it is Christmas, the work for the Chief Executive is still ongoing.

02:25I don't have off days.

02:27I am not with them.

02:31We are not together on vacation, holidays, weekends. We are always on call.
