00:00The reunion of Mary Jane Veloso and her family is full of emotions

00:05after her 15-year imprisonment in Indonesia.

00:09They were allowed to celebrate Christmas together.

00:12Joseph Moro has a report.

00:17After almost 15 years of imprisonment in Indonesia,

00:23Mary Jane Veloso and her children are reunited.

00:30Tears welled up because of the cold embrace of each other.

00:37The other children of Mary Jane also arrived and saw their parents

00:41not being able to finish embracing each other,

00:43as if they are trying to make up for the years of separation.

00:50At the Correctional, in Mandaluyong, they had a reunion.

01:00After Mary Jane was released from the country,

01:02her family immediately went to the airport.

01:05All they saw were her parents hugging each other while she was in the SUV.

01:12They are nice to us.

01:16We want to hug her.

01:24She is important to me.

01:26I want to hug her.

01:29They were reunited at the Correctional.

01:36Mary Jane will be quarantined for five days

01:38at the Reception and Diagnostic Center of the Correctional

01:41before being transferred to a regular cell.

01:43They were allowed to celebrate Christmas together.

01:49Before returning to the Philippines,

01:51she thanked everyone who helped her,

01:53including the government of Indonesia and the Philippines.

01:56I want to thank God.

02:00God has answered my prayers.

02:04I will return to my country.

02:07Thank you very much.

02:10Mary Jane also said goodbye to her friends in Indonesia

02:13and to those who helped her and became her family while in prison.

02:18It was past 1 a.m. when Mary Jane traveled from Indonesia

02:23and after more than three hours,

02:25she returned to the Philippines with NBI,

02:27Bureau of Corrections and Immigration.

02:29But even though she was not released,

02:31she was still deprived of liberty as Mary Jane.

02:33She went under the booking procedures and was shot.

02:37According to Justice Undersecretary Raul Vasquez,

02:39there are two ways for Mary Jane to be released.

02:41First is parole,

02:43which will give her a good record while in prison

02:46as per the Good Conduct Time Allowance of the GCTA.

02:50But the Executive Clemency is a faster way

02:52that the President can give.

02:55If the President will give the Executive Clemency,

02:58he will definitely look at the others.

03:00He will not single out.

03:04There is no decision yet on whether

03:06Mary Jane will be given the Executive Clemency.
