00:00In our first time, the typhoon Kirubin became a low-pressure area.

00:04About that, we got an update from the weather specialist, Dan Villamil. Good evening.

00:10Good evening, Joshua, and to our viewers here on PTV4.

00:18So far, PM2.0, the low-pressure area that reached Kirubin,

00:22280 kilometers away from Surigao City in Surigao del Norte,

00:27and even though Kirubin is a low-pressure area, it will still be affected by heavy rains

00:32in the northern part of Visayas and Mindanao,

00:35particularly in the regions of Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and Davao region.

00:40Meanwhile, the trough extension of this low-pressure area

00:43also reaches the southern part of Visayas and Mindanao.

00:46So in these areas, we expect that it will be cloudy and have high chances of heavy rains,

00:52floods, and landslides.

00:54In the eastern section of Visayas and eastern section of Mindanao,

00:58we are prepared for floods and landslides

01:01because we expect that in the next few days,

01:03this low-pressure area will still be affected in a large part of Visayas and Mindanao.

01:09Meanwhile, here in Shirline, in the midst of hot and cold winds,

01:12the southern part of the region is getting hot,

01:15so we also expect high chances of heavy rains in the mentioned areas.

01:19Here in Amihan, the northeast monsoon will bring heavy rains and landslides

01:24in Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and in the province of Aurora.

01:27For Metro Manila and areas of Luzon, this will continue to be clear weather.

01:31And if we will experience heavy rains,

01:34these will be light rains or landslides only.

01:37In our area, we have a jail warning as of 5 p.m. today

01:41in the nearby towns of Batanes and Toboyan Islands.

01:44Meanwhile, we are expecting heavy rains in the western seaboard of the northern Luzon

01:49and in the eastern seaboard of our country.

01:52For our fishermen and those who will go fishing,

01:56especially here in the extreme northern Luzon,

01:59let's not go too far because we will experience heavy rains brought by the winds of Amihan.

02:20As of now, we are not yet monitoring the low-pressure area,

02:23aside from this time of the year, which used to be Kerubin.

02:26But since more than 10 days before the end of this year,

02:30we are not removing the possibility that there will be low-pressure areas

02:34within the vicinity of our Philippine area of responsibility.
