00:00President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted on five projects for the implementation of a new Philippines.

00:16That's what President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. insisted on his participation in the ceremonial signing of the five infrastructure projects of the Department of Transportation

00:25that will make it easier for Filipinos to live, especially in Visayas and Mindanao.

00:31Among the signed projects is the New Cebu International Container Port Project, which is worth P17 billion.

00:37According to the President, it will help to prevent congestion in Cebu Bay's port.

00:43He will also support the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit Project for the expected and efficient transport system for Cebuans.

00:51Costing over P28 billion, this modern bus network will connect key parts of Cebu City,

00:57making daily commuters easier in their commute and more comfortable.

01:02The President also insisted that tourism in the province of Bohol will be strengthened

01:07through the Bohol-Panglao International Airport PPP Project Concession Agreement,

01:12which aims to develop the so-called Paliparan using a fund of P4.5 billion.

01:18Through the Executive Board, it is expected that this project will generate P15 billion in revenue in the first five years,

01:25which will increase to P200 million per year after the concession period of the project.

01:31But more than just the revenue, its true success will be the number of lives that it will change for the better in Bohol.

01:40It is a promise to our beloved people that they will be the first to benefit

01:44from the continued arrival of tourists and of investors.

01:48The agreement was also signed for the New Dumaguete and New Siargao Regional Airports,

01:53which, according to the President, will comply with the limited connectivity of the two places

01:57to make it more accessible to tourists.

02:00The government will also ensure that the new Paliparan will comply with the strict monitoring.

02:06But beyond the technical aspects, what is important is a positive change that they will bring.

02:12These projects shall allow our farmers to efficiently bring produce to new markets,

02:18tourists to discover more of the charms of these islands,

02:22and entrepreneurs to expand their businesses.

02:25The Chief Executive also agreed that these projects will serve as a pathway

02:29to opening opportunities, especially job opportunities.

02:33The President also agreed that the government will continue to strive to implement projects

02:39that will greatly benefit the Filipinos.

02:43These projects are not just structures.

02:45They are representative of every Filipino's dream of more comfortable travel,

02:52better opportunities, and a clearer path towards their goals and dreams.
