Bennett chats with Serena on the Disney Treasure about Castaway Cay

00:00It is Bennett live on the Disney Treasure on the new 96.5 and we are headed to our destination,

00:05Disney's private island in the Bahamas, Disney's Castaway Key. And we have our friend Serena here

00:09back to talk all about it. How are you? I'm wonderful. Thank you. We had a fun night last

00:14night, right? It was pirate night. We were talking all about it, catching up. We were

00:18swashbuckling and swabbing the decks and you know, all the pirate things. Right. Fireworks at sea,

00:24only Disney can do that. And so now, like I said, we're going to Disney's Castaway Key. Everyone's

00:29really excited for a fun beach day. Yeah. And I feel like we've been talking about so much

00:33together over the last couple of days, all of the reasons why I take a Disney cruise and you're like,

00:37the food is the best reason. The show is the best reason. Everything's the best reason. And

00:42Disney's Castaway Key is one of those things. I personally, when I take a Disney cruise,

00:46no matter what the itinerary is, I am absolutely getting off and enjoying a day. You have to.

00:52Yeah. You can't miss out on that. Yeah. And just like the cruise ship, there's something for

00:56everybody on the island, whether you want to experience it as a family or whether the adults

01:00want a little private getaway at Serenity Bay. There's really something for everyone in between

01:05too. And everything you need is right there. Like you don't have to bring anything with you,

01:08which is so nice. I'm used to like the Jersey Shore and you're lugging all your chairs and

01:12your umbrellas and the food, but you, you walk off and voila, everything is right there waiting

01:18for you. It's pretty unbelievable. Even have some of your crew members that are here on the

01:22treasure who know you and know you get off with you, enjoy the island with you and help you do

01:28everything you need to do to enjoy your day. A barbecue lunch is included. I highly recommend

01:32taking advantage of that. Yes. And one of my favorite things to do at Castaway is ride the

01:37pelican plunge. Have you heard of this? No. So pelican plunge is a water slide, but in the ocean

01:43stop. So you actually swim up to it, you climb up. And when you plunge into the water, you are

01:48going right into the ocean. It's like the best thing ever. Sammy's like, we're definitely getting

01:51bedded on camera going to the ocean. Yes. You can see her behind the camera, but her jaw dropped.

01:56She's like, okay, noted. We're doing that. Um, that's one of many activities. Like I know

02:00snorkeling and like, is there a favorite activity for you or, or is the slide? Honestly pelican

02:06plunge. And I love just getting an inner tube and floating in the ocean, sunbathing. I'm the kind of

02:12gal, like when I'm in the sun, I like to get as much of it as I can prove that I can actually tan.

02:18Yes, I could use that. I'm looking, you know, it's 20 degrees back in Philadelphia. So I could

02:22use a nice little tan here in the Bahamas. You were saying that yesterday. I feel like you're

02:25rubbing it in just a little bit for your listeners, but it means they should be coming and joining us.
