00:00Approximately 7.30 this morning we were called to reports of a fire in the Warren in Whitstable.
00:05At the height of the incident we had five fire engines and a height vehicle attend.
00:10Crews wearing breathing apparatus entered the property and extinguished using main jets and hose wheel jets.
00:15So we believe the fire started in the porch on to the side accidentally by a heat lamp.
00:22This spread into the roof and into the kitchen of the property.
00:25So there was a female lady in the property. She evacuated prior to our arrival.
00:30And we passed her into the care of CCAM just for precautionary checks.
00:34We always urge anyone if they find a fire in their property to leave immediately if safe to do so and dial 999.
00:40Yeah so we'd urge everyone to keep any sources of heat away from any flammable materials in their property.
