00:46Detroit is injured. The Lions had their 11 game win streak
00:50snapped on Sunday. There are some concerns about what the
00:54Lions will be able to present the remainder of the way. Do
00:59you give Minnesota at that plus 220 number to win the NFC
01:03North even a thought of a bet or a wager at this moment at
01:08the end of 15 weeks.
01:10I don't bend simply because of the remaining games in the
01:14schedule here. I mean, you're looking at Minnesota having to
01:17go to Seattle then take on the Packers and then go to Detroit
01:23while Detroit is sitting there with the I throw in the towel
01:28Bears next week then at the 49ers and who in their right
01:32mind thinks that even as banged up as Detroit is they still
01:35aren't capable of beating the 49ers and then they'll finish
01:38with the Vikings. So it's a much tougher path. And since
01:42they already own the tiebreaker a slip up in one of those three
01:46games certainly possible for Minnesota at which point
01:49Detroit would be holding all the cards. It's tough to lay it
01:52for just plus 220.
01:55Yeah, I would completely agree Joe possible plausible. You
01:58could paint a path likely or worth even a sprinkle of plus
02:03money. Not really how I am seeing it right now. There is
02:06no doubt that Detroit's defense now has a ton of injuries and
02:11because of how injured they have been defensively. They have
02:14allowed a ton of offense the last few weeks, but I still
02:18give the Lions the benefit. They will still be booked as a
02:21favorite. You would expect more than likely even with the
02:24road trip to San Francisco in just a couple of weeks and if
02:29for whatever reason it did come down to week 18 to decide a
02:33division home field for at least one playoff game
02:37potentially home field advantage for the entirety of
02:40the NFC postseason. The Lions are going to be booked as a
02:43favorite at home inside Ford Field against this Minnesota
02:47team. So Joe more than likely, let's call it 5560%. I would
02:52say right now. The Vikings are that top wild card team because
02:56when you look at those standings, Minnesota will be the
02:59five seed at 12 and 2. They've got two games in front of
03:03Green Bay. Some playoff positioning at stake this
03:07upcoming weekend between the Vikes or at least week 17
03:10between the Vikes and the Packers, but Minnesota's overall
03:14outlook because right alongside Green Bay right now, Joe, a
03:18six to one number to win the NFC. The Lions still the
03:21favorites plus 210. The Eagles only back now by 30 cents at
03:26plus 240. There you see Green Bay and Minnesota both at a
03:30six to one price. There seems to be a tier of two, but can the
03:35other two NFC North teams either Minnesota or Green Bay,
03:39maybe make a deep postseason run in contend with the Eagles
03:43and the Lions for that conference crown within the NFC.
03:47Well, you know, and we talked about it early in the season
03:51after a couple of weeks. I thought Green Bay was very much
03:54alive to win the NFC crown and make it for a shot at the
04:00dance. I wasn't sold on Detroit. Certainly would Minnesota
04:04was never even in the conversation. We all thought
04:07they'd be falling back but I'll give credit to them. I still
04:11think the Packers in that in that tier there Ben are the
04:15ones that are the most dangerous and we'll see exactly
04:18how they match up when they play in a couple of weeks. So
04:22a lot still to be determined though in that middle group in
04:25the wild card.
