Kung kailan mahigit isang linggo na lang bago magpasko, saka naman nawalan ng tirahan ang ilang taga-Metro Manila dahil sa magkakahiwalay na sunog. Iba ‘yung pag-iingat ang bilin ng mga awtoridad ngayong holiday season lalo’t umabot na sa halos 500 ang naitatalang sunog.

00:09Also, some Metro Manila residents lost their homes because of the separate fires.

00:15The attention of the authorities is different this holiday season,

00:18especially when the number of fires is almost 500.

00:25Guys, there's a fire.

00:28It's in that mountain.

00:30There's a strong blaze of fire and black smoke

00:34that spread to a residential area in Barangay 128, Malutondo,

00:38around 9 a.m. this morning.

00:41But because the center of the fire is in Tuktuk ng Burol,

00:44it can't be easily reached by fire trucks.

00:49There's no fire.

00:50Firefighters had to climb up the mountain just to get water.

00:57When we entered, you can see that our paths are marked.

01:01When you get here, you have to climb up the mountain first.

01:04The wind is strong and we're close to the sea.

01:07That's what's making it difficult for us.

01:09Because of the rapid spread of fire,

01:11most of the residents have almost nothing to save.

01:15There's nothing left.

01:17I don't have anything left.

01:19Why? Where did it come from?

01:21I'm still pulling my hair.

01:30and it burned more than 10 houses.

01:46In Santa Cruz, Manila,

01:48the ground floor and second floor of a five-story commercial building

01:52were burned last night.

01:54It also turned red.

03:22The residents were not able to save anyone.
