00:00Skewing is a rugby club that's obviously in Skewing itself right in the heart of the village.
00:08We've got kids now from under 6's right the way up to under 16's and we've got around
00:13about 300 children in our thriving section and obviously we've also got a senior section
00:17running as well.
00:18I'm really excited to have our first youth team next year for the first time in a long
00:22time.
00:23Without volunteers, Skewing RFC just would not be a club.
00:26We don't have anything if we don't have our volunteers.
00:29Volunteers do everything from the coaching, managing the teams, working in the kitchens,
00:34helping out.
00:35We have parents that step up and help as well.
00:38They are completely integral.
00:40Without that there just wouldn't be Skewing RFC, there wouldn't be a club and without
00:44the minis and juniors there wouldn't be a senior section who also rely heavily on volunteers
00:47because grassroots rugby is volunteer heavy, has to be.
00:54Karl is so passionate about minis and juniors rugby, grassroots rugby.
00:59His passion is what drives this club to be the club that it is now.
01:04It's his vision, his drive.
01:07Obviously he needs all of those volunteers behind him helping him but it's his drive
01:10that's got us to where we are.
01:12When he first started coaching I think we had about 25 kids and it only goes to show
01:17that we've now got about 300 children.
01:19Just how much he's put into it, how much he just deserves the recognition for everything
01:22that he's done.
01:23He's really highly respected as a coach and just as somebody that will help out.
01:29He not only helps our team but he helps every team.
01:32Anybody needs anything he's always there, always on the phone.
