00:00Hi guys and welcome to DriveSpark, I'm Prameet and today what we are driving is the all new

00:12Honda Amaze.

00:17Now Honda just launched this vehicle a few days back and this car carries a starting

00:23price of Rs. 8 lakh ex-showroom and this is the segment first car that gets level 2 ADAS

00:31that's Honda Sensing in the top end variant, so just under Rs. 10 lakh ex-showroom, this

00:36is probably the segment's first car to get this feature.

00:40So in this video we are going to tell you everything you need to know about this entry

00:44level sedan from Honda, so let's start this video.

00:52So now let's talk about the design of the new Honda Amaze, now the Amaze has always

00:59been a very compact and very nice sedan, over the years the generation has changed, lot

01:05of things have been introduced in the car but this particular generation of the Honda

01:11Amaze gets a lot of additional changes that are really nice and never really required

01:19for a car.

01:21So let's start talking about the design, so the design of the Amaze almost remains

01:24the same, if you look at it, it's got that flat nose, it's got, I mean the design almost

01:31remains identical, thing that have changed at the front is now you can see that it gets

01:37a new headlamp setup and all LED headlamp setup, it gets DRL, it gets a bigger grille

01:44and apart from that it has LED fog lamps and overall the front end looks absolutely

01:51fantastic, if you come to the side, you can see you get 15 inch alloy wheels and the top

01:58end variant, this is top end variant, so these are 15 inch alloy wheels and this is what

02:02you will get with the car but if you buy the base variant, you will get 14 inch steel wheels

02:08and you also have an option for a different alloy wheel, so you have one set of steel

02:13wheels and two sets of alloy wheels that you can choose from and if you see it from

02:17the back, I mean the taillight is wrapped around taillights and LED taillight and technically

02:23from the rear end, it looks like a mini Honda City because I mean the taillight design is

02:28almost the same, so on the exterior, you get these features, obviously you don't get a

02:33sunroof over here but you get a lot of other features, if the sunroof is not there in this

02:38car and you get a shark fin antenna, overall the car looks really nice, you have six colour

02:43options to choose from and if you move on the inside, you will notice that this thing

02:54gets a lot of changes, like first of all, you can see that the layout, the seating layout

02:59and the dashboard layout, it gets a dual tone finish, you get beige finish on the seats

03:02are very very comfortable, Honda is known for their comfort, so the driver seat that

03:06I'm sitting in, both the front seats are very comfortable, the rear seating is nice,

03:11it's got decent under-thigh support, you have three headrests, you have an armrest, now

03:16you also have an AC vent at the rear that has been added for extra convenience and cooling

03:21down the cabin really fast, also a new thing is this touchscreen that you see over here,

03:26so this 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system is very very nice, it's very sleek to use,

03:32the touch is very responsive and there's one more screen over here and that is the

03:36cluster, so you get a 7-inch display on the cluster along with an analogue meter, so this

03:41is a mix and match of analogue and digital, looks nice, have a lot of information and

03:49you also get a camera over here, so the camera over here, just behind the IRVM is for your

03:57ADAS or Honda Sensing and there are three cameras in this car total, one is over here,

04:03one is on the left-hand side mirror, so whenever I give or I give a left indicator, I wanna

04:11turn left, so whenever there is a blind spot monitoring camera that is over there, so that

04:17thing gets activated and the display is shown on this infotainment system, which is actually

04:23nice because I mean at the left is where you have the least visibility compared to

04:27the right because it's sitting close to the mirror, so that is again a very good feature

04:31and then you have one camera at the back for your reversing, it does not get the 360-degree

04:35camera feature, but overall it is absolutely fantastic from inside, you get an automatic

04:41climate control, you get a wireless charger and you have a roundish steering wheel that's

04:46wrapped in leather and it has got steering audit controls, again a very very typical

04:51Honda thing, it is nice to hold.

04:59And now let's talk about the engine of this car, so the Amaze now gets a 1.2-litre naturally

05:06aspirated 4-cylinder petrol engine and this engine produces 90 PS of power and 110 Nm

05:12of peak torque, now some people might say on paper 110 Nm of torque is really less,

05:17but there is 90 PS of power, which other cars of this segment have lower power but

05:22slightly higher amount of torque, so this is a slightly more powerful car with almost

05:2890 PS of power in it, we'll be doing a 0-100, so please have a look at that and on our Instagram

05:35and YouTube reels and shots, so we'll be doing that 0-100 and as far as mileage is concerned,

05:42now Honda is claiming that the manual and the automatic both can give around somewhere

05:48between 18 to 20 kilometres per litre and that thing is a really really nice thing because

05:57getting good mileage out of a car is very, it seems like a task these days, so I mean

06:05people are completely complaining about mileage, cars are not fuel efficient but yeah, keeping

06:11that extra power and getting mileage out of it is what Honda has done, steering is not

06:18that light, it's not that heavy, it's somewhere in between, it is very responsive, suspension

06:22setup is more towards the comfortable side, so that I mean it absorbs all the bumps and

06:28potholes and everything, NVH levels are very good, you are practically cut out from the

06:33outside world, obviously some noise starts coming in but it is very minimum, it won't

06:37hamper your conversation if you are having one and the smoothness of the engine is just

06:43fantastic, since it's a 4-cylinder obviously, 3-cylinders also do not have an issue when

06:49they are rolling but they tend to jutter a little bit when they are idling, so that thing

06:56is not in this because it's a 4-cylinder, it's a very very smooth engine and overall

07:01if you just have a look at this car, it is just fantastic, so as I told you, the safety

07:09features, it gets 6 airbags as standard, it also has this level 2 ADAS, that's Honda

07:17Sensing but that you get in the top end variant only, you don't get in the base or the mid

07:22variant, that is only exclusive for the top end variant and as I mentioned, prices start

07:27at Rs. 8 lakh ex-showroom and these prices for a car that is offering so much is actually

07:35very nice, it's a very responsive car, you have two gearbox options over here, you have

07:40a manual and a CVT, manual is a 5-speed and then you have a CVT, so the CVT gives slightly,

07:47I think little more mileage than the manual but overall, it is a fantastic package in

07:54this price point, people who are looking for a car, entry-level sedan, especially for

07:59the safety aspect of it, I think you should definitely go check out the all-new Honda

08:03Amaze, it's available in 6 different colours, 5 airbags, ABS, it looks really nice now with

08:10all the changes that Honda has done and the pricing is just bang on, so yeah, go check

08:16out the all-new Honda Amaze, it's a fantastic car, we are driving in Goa right now, in narrow

08:21roads, no problem at all and especially the lane keep assist camera that's over there,

08:27that is really helping because tight roads, people are walking, there are scooters, there

08:32are cars coming to and fro, so yeah, that thing is a very big advantage, especially
