Transcript
00:00Full time here at Anfield, it's all quiet now but an enthralling encounter took place.
00:072-2 draw Liverpool earned against Fulham, they'll be disappointed with these dropped points
00:12but given what went against them they'd probably be happy with a share of the spoils.
00:16Certainly when Liverpool went down to 10 men a lot of fans were taking a point
00:20because at that point Liverpool were already a goal behind
00:23when Andreas Pereira opened the scoring for Fulham in the 11th minute
00:27a good cross from the left from Andy Robertson
00:30and there was Pereira to take home with the back post on the stretch.
00:35I got word for Liverpool 6 minutes later, Andy Robertson giving us marching orders
00:40poor touch allowed, former Liverpool forwards Harry Wilson in
00:45Andy Robertson fells Wilson, he was adjudged to have been the last man
00:49and denying a goal scoring opportunity
00:52giving us marching orders and a straight red card
00:55and VAR agreed, checked that Wilson wasn't offside and he wasn't
00:59you have to say it was a deserved red card
01:02Fulham had a couple of opportunities but Liverpool battled back really well
01:06in the end of the first half on top there was Diaz having an effort over the bar
01:10and second half they came out well and within three minutes they were back level
01:16Kobe Gakpo with a really good diving header
01:21Mo Salah picking him out of the back post
01:23and a brave header as well from Gakpo to level up
01:26and from there Liverpool were the better team
01:29they didn't give Fulham a lot of chances despite being down to 10 men
01:34but Fulham with the only real chance they created after that
01:37managed to go ahead again from Rodrigo Munoz
01:42again that Anthony Robinson was rampant down the left flank
01:46he got to the byline and cut the ball across
01:48Munoz got there first, Joe Gomez got something on him
01:51it was unlucky really from Gomez but the ball deflected into net
01:54but Liverpool battled again and Diogo Jota
01:58making his first appearance in almost two months after a rib injury
02:01came off the bench and did what he does best
02:04getting a chance and taking it, a fantastic finish
02:07picked out by fellow substitute Darwin Nunes
02:10got his head up, gave Fulham keeper Birdland all the eyes
02:15and finished and Liverpool finished on top
02:18Jota had another chance when the ball was scrambling around
02:21maybe the shot should have been taken earlier by someone else
02:24but his effort was deflected over and when the full time whistle went
02:28Liverpool were probably a little bit disappointed
02:31that they only managed to salvage a draw
02:34but on the balance I think it was probably a fair result you would say
02:38and Arnaslott was really delighted with his size performance
02:42he actually was given a third yellow card of the season
02:45but good news for Liverpool is that Andy Robertson and Arnaslott
02:48won't be banned in the Premier League
02:51Robertson's ban and Arnaslott's touchline ban
02:54will be invoked for the Carabao Cup quarter-final
02:59against Southampton on Wednesday
03:01which is a big boost for Liverpool
03:04instead of the game against Tottenham
03:07Liverpool will be disappointed to have dropped points in the title race
03:10luckily Arsenal were held by Everton
03:13so Everton doing Liverpool a little bit of a favour there on the roads
03:17Chelsea have got Brenfords, the gap could be reduced
03:20circumstances, probably a decent point for Liverpool
03:24especially when Robertson was sent off
03:27they need to definitely take the points at that point
03:29There's Liverpool 2 Fulham 2
