00:00Still some good games kicking at 1 p.m. Eastern Time, like this big one in the
00:07AFC in Houston. The Texans will host the Dolphins. The Texans fresh off a bye.
00:13They are still a team, Joe, in pole position within the AFC South. They are
00:18the only team, in fact, in this division with a winning record. They are eight and
00:22five. The Dolphins have some life in that AFC wild-card race. They have won four of
00:28their last five. They need to keep stacking up wins. They are six and seven.
00:33Not a great spot for either team, and what I mean by that is the trend
00:37perspective based on the number. The Texans just a two and a half point
00:42favorite. Well, with CJ Stroud as their starting quarterback, Houston as the
00:47favored side since the beginning of last year, just six, ten, and two against the
00:52spread. Miami as an underdog with Mike McDaniel as its head coach, eight and
00:57twelve ATS, but more importantly, Joe, especially with the number less than a
01:02field goal, four and sixteen straight up. Can the Dolphins finally win a game
01:07outright as an underdog? No. Well, they might, but I'll tell you this, Ben, they're
01:13not winning it in the first half. If it ain't broke, let's not fix it here. We
01:18all know the CJ Stroud issues and his Texans issues. They have come in the
01:23second half of games, Ben, where they have given up leads in the third and
01:28fourth quarter after adjustments have been made that CJ Stroud, unfortunately,
01:33did not adjust to. In this particular spot, they've had extra rest, right?
01:38They've had some time to work on some things. Mixon, Miko Collins look like
01:43they're going to be good to go here, and we've seen the Miami defense take a
01:49step back. You know what you haven't seen take a step back, and the most
01:53consistent thing about this Texans team has been this defense and their ability
01:57to get after the quarterback. Tua is a different quarterback when he is under
02:03duress. He's going to be under duress a lot in this game here. The Texans are
02:0911 and two against the number in the first half this year here, Ben. The best
02:13mark in the NFL next to the Detroit Lions. There is no way that they won't
02:18have the lead going into the break in this one. Now, whether they hold on to
02:23it in the second half is a different story, but I'm pretty confident at a
02:27pick them price. I believe at home with extra rest, they will have a lead
02:32against this Dolphins defense going into the break.
