00:00Joe, the Broncos are five and three.
00:07They take that record as an eight and a half point underdog into Baltimore on Sunday.
00:13A couple of keynotes for this game.
00:16Of course, we start with the status of Lamar Jackson.
00:19He has missed the last two days of practice for the flock dealing with knee and back injuries
00:25and soreness.
00:26Lamar is not a guy that often misses practice, so when he does, even when dealing with being
00:31a little bit banged up, it is noteworthy.
00:34The Ravens are also a team that when they have been favored by a touchdown or more this
00:39year, they have lost both of those games outright.
00:43It's like, Joe, the Ravens play their best ball against the best opposition on the other
00:47side.
00:48When they're laying a hefty number, they come up on the losing end.
00:52Of course, last week in Cleveland, the Jameis Winston and the Browns, week number two as
00:57a seven and a half, eight and a half point home favorite against the Las Vegas Raiders.
01:03With Lamar Jackson's status a little bit up in the air, still anticipate him playing in
01:08this football game as the odds makers do despite a point of movement.
01:13Can the Broncos be a live dog on Sunday in the Charm City?
01:18No, they can't be, people.
01:21Since you're asking Bo Nicks to go on the road, let's compare schedules to this point
01:28here, Ben, on who everyone has played.
01:31You've got the Baltimore Ravens at home coming off a terrible divisional loss against Cleveland
01:38and a backup quarterback in Jameis Winston, right?
01:42You have a Denver team that, hey, listen, have been doing it as far as I'm concerned
01:46with smoke and mirrors.
01:47A lot of that has to do with the fact, hey, you got a rookie quarterback who is going
01:51to make rookie mistakes and as the competition gets better, you'll start to see more and
01:58more of those mistakes.
01:59The great thing for Denver is they've taken advantage of a week schedule and they've been
02:05able to use that defense in order to be able to win some games they should not have probably
02:12won.
02:13But I mean, listen, Bo Nicks, I think is a great story.
02:16I think he's a guy that is the future of Denver with Sean Payton.
02:19I think he's found his guy.
02:20I think he's good to go.
02:22But the reality is this is a step up in competition off of a probably pretty PO Baltimore team
02:29losing that game.
02:31And Lamar, as far as I'm concerned, even though he didn't practice yesterday, we haven't heard
02:35anything to worry about.
02:37I say he is going here and I think Denver's in for a very long day, especially early in
02:44this game.
02:45I can see Baltimore coming out and pretty much smacking Denver early and often.
02:51And then if you're going to ask Bo Nicks to play from behind, I don't think that turns
02:55out very well on the road.
02:57So while some people are scratching their head with the number, I am not.
03:01I think Baltimore is going to have their way here and and get back in the win column.
03:07You know what is interesting, though, Joe, the Ravens are the worst passing defense in
03:10the NFL, allowing more than two hundred and ninety one yards.
03:13Jamis threw for more than three thirty and three touchdowns last week.
03:17Bo Nicks, three passing scores and a rushing touchdown last week against Carolina.
03:22The Broncos have been favored in three of their last four games.
03:25They have covered the number in all three.
03:28Denver is one five of their last six after a start where Bo Nicks looked like a rookie.
03:33But to Sean Payton's credit, he allowed his rookie quarterback to go out there to take
03:37his lumps and to learn from them.
03:40Multiple interceptions without a touchdown pass in those opening two games for Denver,
03:45for Bo Nicks in these last six in five of those six victories, eight touchdowns to only
03:51a single I and T. And the Broncos are the second best defense in the NFL in terms of
03:58yardage allowed third best scoring defense around the National Football League.
04:03The Ravens are not that bottom ten, giving up nearly twenty six points per game.
04:08The total intrigues me, Joe.
04:09Forty six and a Baltimore over in seven of eight because of some of those defensive woes.
04:15The Broncos have also got over in four straight games.
04:18This by far, though, their highest total of the year.
04:21The previous high was week number one for Denver.
04:24That was forty two points.
04:26And again, we compare the quarterbacks.
04:28Bo Nicks has looked pretty good here as of late.
04:31Lamar Jackson playing at an MVP caliber, Joe, for me, Bo Nicks, fifteen thirty in terms
04:36of those passing yards.
04:37I bet his preseason season long passing yards prop at twenty eight fifty and a hook.
04:42We're on track, Bo.
04:44Keep it going and rack up some yardage this week against the Ravens.
