00:40will be joining us this afternoon.
00:42Please welcome,
00:44Michael Damesa and Rafael Rosel.
00:50Hello again.
00:51Hi, hi.
00:52Hello again.
00:53Nice to see you again.
00:54I didn't know you dance well.
00:57I just act like I can dance.
00:59No.
01:00When I saw you earlier,
01:01you were really dancing?
01:02Yeah.
01:03Are you into it now?
01:04It's nice to trip sometimes,
01:05and the music is nice,
01:06you're in a good mood.
01:07And you have that step, what is it?
01:08Which one?
01:09I saw it earlier.
01:10No, I just did the butt dance.
01:13It's hard to dance.
01:14But that was a nice step.
01:16I mean, teach me.
01:17Yeah, later.
01:18Later?
01:19Are you on now?
01:20No, I liked it.
01:22It's like that.
01:23Yeah.
01:24Then it goes like this.
01:26Then it goes like this.
01:31It's nice to watch you dance.
01:34You dance because it's part of your life.
01:36Please do that.
01:37Yes.
01:38Right?
01:39Sometimes I see you and Julie,
01:41and it's a lot of fun.
01:42It is, it is.
01:43Let's talk about Forever Young.
01:44Congratulations on your show.
01:45Thank you so much.
01:46Thank you so much.
01:47We're neighbors of Forever Young.
01:48Before you watch Fast Talk,
01:49we're watching Forever Young.
01:52Yeah.
01:53What do you think of Baguette, UN?
01:56Mikael?
01:57That boy, he's one of a kind.
02:01Yeah.
02:02He's pretty smart, very talented,
02:06and I think he's going to go a long way.
02:09At that age,
02:11you're still trying to figure out
02:13what you're feeling.
02:14But for some reason,
02:15he knows what he's feeling,
02:17and he can replicate it on stage.
02:20So for his age,
02:21he can do that.
02:22For me, I'm very impressed.
02:23That's great.
02:24That's great.
02:25He's so fast.
02:26Yeah.
02:27I want to ask,
02:28what does Forever Young say
02:32about politics,
02:35about self-sacrifice?
02:37Basically, what is its principal message
02:41about leadership, about politics?
02:43What does it say?
02:44It's clear the show
02:47tackles the good side
02:50and the bad side of politics.
02:52So it gives you a clear picture
02:55of who you should vote for.
03:00Do you have any plans
03:02to enter politics, Mike?
03:03Me?
03:04I want to breathe.
03:06Not my cup of tea.
03:08Not your cup of tea.
03:09No, no, no.
03:10I know that it will change who I am
03:13because knowing our kind of politics
03:16you come in with good intentions
03:19but you get swallowed up by the system.
03:24So I'd rather continue being who I am,
03:28quiet, in my own private cocoon.
03:34Yes.
03:37How about you, Rafael?
03:39I've had a long interest
03:41in being able to help people out
03:43and I see and I observe the system myself
03:46and I can see some of the puzzle pieces
03:48that I can put my input.
03:50But until I have the proper education
03:53in economy or proper leadership
03:55in political science,
03:57until then, maybe not.
03:59And once you see me studying those,
04:01for sure, I'll have a ball.
04:02You'll prepare for it.
04:03Yes.
04:04But in the discourse,
04:06in my opinion,
04:08there is a layer of discrimination
04:11and stereotyping
04:13that artists who enter politics
04:18should not vote,
04:20should not be qualified,
04:22should have no knowledge.
04:23Right.
04:24Your take?
04:25That's right.
04:26There is discrimination
04:28although there are those who really know.
04:31I mean, I'm not going to lie.
04:34There are those who I can say are qualified
04:38who want to help,
04:40who want to serve the country.
04:43And there are those who don't.
04:47But for me personally,
04:49if you really want to help and serve,
04:52you don't need to enter politics.
04:55Okay. I hear that.
04:57But there are some
04:58that are deserving to be there.
05:00I hear that.
05:01It's been a long time.
05:02This whole idea that artists,
05:05but many win.
05:07Not all win.
05:08Many lose.
05:09But if you're an artist,
05:10you're not qualified.
05:11That's a sweeping statement.
05:13I believe some are
05:14natural-born leaders
05:15with the right intention,
05:16with the right motivation and education.
05:18You can go for that.
05:19But if your intention is wrong,
05:22it's better to do it for the household.
05:25It's better for the majority.
05:26Because here,
05:27I think the majority believe
05:29that if you're an artist,
05:30you should just be a showbiz artist.
05:31Right?
05:32And then there's always
05:33this statement that...
05:37I admit, it hurts.
05:38Because when you say artist,
05:40the word lang sounds similar.
05:42Me too.
05:43Artist. Lang.
05:46We're both Filipinos.
05:48We're both paying our taxes.
05:50We're both working in the marketplace.
05:53So why don't we give an opportunity
05:56to an artist
05:59who wants to serve the country.
06:01Anyway, but forever young is forever young.
06:07Do you want...
06:08But there are people,
06:09and I respect this idea,
06:10that I want to be a baguette.
06:13Especially in our industry
06:15where youth is a currency.
06:17Yes, that's true.
06:18What's your take?
06:19I'm happy where I'm at now.
06:21I'm happy with what I've become.
06:25For me, it's all in the mind.
06:28Age is really just a number.
06:30It's how you look at life.
06:33And it's how you deal with situations
06:36that come your way.
06:39I believe that everything goes in your mind.
06:41So for me, personally,
06:44as I've grown older,
06:46I look back,
06:47and I always think to myself,
06:49I'm so happy I'm past that.
06:51So as I grow older,
06:52I feel like I'm gaining more knowledge,
06:54I'm becoming wiser.
06:57You gain more wisdom.
06:58I gain more wisdom,
06:59I get to know more people,
07:00I evolve according to the people
07:02that I relate to,
07:04and I'm really happy with who I am.
07:06If I could go back to being 20,
07:08I don't think I would do it
07:09because I feel like I'm way better.
07:11You're good now.
07:12I'm good.
07:13I'm better than what I was.
07:14Me too.
07:15Going back when I was 20,
07:17I made so many mistakes.
07:20So now,
07:21looking back to what I've done before,
07:24I wouldn't want to go back to that.
07:27But we're still grateful for the mistakes.
07:29Definitely.
07:30I mean, that's the only way we learn.
07:31That's the only way we grow.
07:33And nothing goes to waste.
07:35Yes.
07:36And that's what makes us the people,
07:38the persons we are today.
07:40Can you be forever young?
07:42Is love young?
07:44In my case.
07:49In my case.
07:50Definitely.
07:51Definitely, yes.
07:54I have a young wife.
07:55I mean, she's younger than me.
07:57She's not young.
07:58She's younger than me.
07:59And I think it also,
08:01I won't say helped me,
08:03but I think it's also made me this way
08:06because I'm with her.
08:09I'm with her.
08:11Now that she's a content creator
08:14and she does a lot of TikTok,
08:16a lot of dancing,
08:17and even with my passion.
08:18That's why I said,
08:19maybe we should have a concert.
08:20Let's dance together.
08:24I like that.
08:25Rafael, how about you?
08:26For me,
08:27I would like to make a joke
08:28that it keeps you young
08:29for the first two to three years.
08:31And then afterwards
08:32when all the complications comes,
08:34when the honeymoon stage goes down
08:36and the reality kicks in,
08:37there's a tendency for it to make you older
08:39if you get stressed.
08:40But I believe that
08:42when you find a partner,
08:43that partner becomes your reflection.
08:45So whatever you're stressing out about,
08:47she will be there to point it out every day.
08:49Whatever your mistakes are,
08:50whatever you're rewarding yourself
08:54with stuff that you shouldn't be rewarding yourself with,
08:57she will point that out.
08:58For me,
08:59it's a big benefit to have a partner.
09:01You don't look for it anymore.
09:02You just focus on growing.
09:03How important is intimacy?
09:05Very important.
09:06In being active,
09:08in being young.
09:09It's important.
09:10It's important?
09:11It's important.
09:12Honesty and authenticity,
09:13I think,
09:14is the highest frequency.
09:15You can't get that through holding hands.
09:17No.
09:18There's more to that.
09:19There's more to that.
09:20There's intentions in holding hands.
09:26For me,
09:27it's also a deliberate decision.
09:29It's a conscious decision.
09:30It is.
09:31To make yourself interesting to each other.
09:33Correct.
09:34And we're going to do fast talk.
09:36Let's go.
09:37First with Mike.
09:38Let's go for your Mike.
09:39Okay.
09:40Okay.
09:41Here we go.
09:42Mike.
09:43Yes.
09:45Mokong Bata.
09:47Tik Tok.
09:50Iron Man.
09:53Chef.
09:54Artist.
09:55Artist.
09:56Talent.
09:57Attitude.
10:00Forever young.
10:01Forever in love.
10:04Forever grateful.
10:05Forever hopeful.
10:07Forever inspired.
10:08Forever curious.
10:11Hot Lolo.
10:12Macho Papa.
10:15Guilty or not guilty?
10:19Not guilty.
10:23Of course, Julie, we're talking about the past.
10:24The past.
10:25Guilty.
10:32Not guilty.
10:36Not guilty.
10:42Guilty.
10:45Guilty.
10:48A little white lies.
10:49Lights on or lights off?
10:50Lights dimmed.
10:53Okay.
10:54Happiness or chocolates?
10:55Happiness.
10:56Best time for happiness?
10:59All the time.
11:03Give it a title.
11:04Wow.
11:05Oh my God.
11:07Royal blood.
11:10I agree.
11:15You're both award-winning actors.
11:18As a matter of fact, somebody was telling me,
11:19Do you know that Rafael and Michael are both awardees?
11:24Correct, right?
11:25Yeah, yeah, yeah.
11:26Congratulations.
11:28How do you say that an artist is good?
11:31The answer to the return of Fast Talk with Boy Abel.
11:35Congratulations.
11:44We still have Mike and Rafael with us.
11:47How do you say that an artist is good?
11:53I think it's when you forget or disregard who you really are
12:00and become another person.
12:06You draw on yourself in being another character
12:11and you are able to portray that with truth and honesty and believability.
12:20It's hard, right?
12:21It's hard because it's too deep.
12:25The craft is something to be respected.
12:30I've always said that there are actors who are really born to be actors.
12:37And there are some who are manufactured.
12:40Right.
12:41But I'm not against that.
12:44But to say that an artist is good has a lot of factors.
12:50A lot of layers, right?
12:51A lot of layers.
12:52And that includes your attitude.
12:54Right.
12:55What do you really want to be in this industry?
12:59Rafael, what about you?
13:00I think it goes deeper than what you see on the surface.
13:04It's like a duck sitting in a pond.
13:08But underneath, you see them super paddle with your feet.
13:12There are two sides that I can see.
13:14There's the craft and then there's just the acting of delivering the lines.
13:18Like what you said earlier, the authenticity, you can fake it.
13:21I think it was Denzel Washington or Robert De Niro who said it.
13:25Some days you're there and some days you're not.
13:28And your job is to make sure that nobody knows the difference.
13:32So if you're going to fake it, you better fake it really well.
13:36So in terms of craft, being in character, you're creating a whole different personality.
13:42But more than anything, I think the punctuation in the whole acting craft is authenticity.
13:48Is it hard for you to snap out of a character?
13:50Do you bring it home?
13:52When I was starting out in the showbiz, I brought it home.
13:55Not understanding that after doing a scene, you have to debrief.
13:59So that the totality of your body can understand that it's done.
14:03Don't bring it home. This is not your real personality.
14:06So when you go home, go back to Rafael Rosel.
14:08Not your character that you're bringing home.
14:10In the beginning of my career, I had a hard time debriefing.
14:13Until I learned that you're supposed to debrief after a heavy scene.
14:17Me too.
14:19You've done roles.
14:21Oh yeah, I've done a few.
14:26Very few.
14:27Even up to now, sometimes, depending on the character I'm portraying.
14:33Sometimes, there are times that I can't debrief.
14:37That I still bring it home.
14:39Why should we watch Forever Young?
14:42Because we're there.
14:45No, no.
14:47What we talked about earlier.
14:50I believe Forever Young is an extraordinary project because of the story.
14:56Because primarily, it deals with a certain condition.
15:00And the politics.
15:02It's just right.
15:04Because it's our election next year.
15:07It gives us a window.
15:09What should we vote for?
15:12Or who should we vote for?
15:17I believe it deals with a certain condition that most people don't know about.
15:21And because of that condition, many challenges will appear.
15:25So I think people will be able to relate.
15:27Because a lot of us feel really small inside.
15:30And here you see this small man facing big challenges.
15:33There's also action.
15:35There's also a love angle.
15:39Completed.
15:40Completed.
15:42And let's complete it.
15:43Let's do fast talk.
15:44Okay.
15:45Yeah, your turn.
15:46Your turn.
15:47Brilliant.
15:48Okay.
15:49Don't say chicken.
15:50Or tuna.
15:54Okay.
15:55Mysterious.
15:56Mysterious.
15:57Romantic.
15:58Romantic.
15:59Handsome.
16:00Smart.
16:01Smart.
16:02Fast.
16:03Slow.
16:04Slow.
16:05Good.
16:06Discreet.
16:07Good role.
16:08Sweet.
16:09Spicy.
16:10Spicy.
16:11Abs.
16:12Biceps.
16:13Abs.
16:14Topless.
16:15Bottomless.
16:16Topless.
16:17Me time.
16:18Sexy time.
16:19Sexy time.
16:20What makes you hot?
16:21The weather.
16:25Probably my palm.
16:28That's interesting.
16:32Her face.
16:37Your favorite thing that Miss Yussef does?
16:39I'm being spoiled because I don't believe it.
16:42Guilty or not guilty?
16:43A woman's affection.
16:45Guilty.
16:46Guilty or not guilty?
16:47A flirt with the leading lady.
16:49Not guilty.
16:50Guilty or not guilty?
16:51A fight with an artist.
16:53Not guilty.
16:54Guilty or not guilty?
16:55A man's sleep.
16:56Guilty.
16:57Guilty or not guilty?
16:58A ghost of a woman.
17:00Not guilty.
17:01Guilty or not guilty?
17:02A ghost of a date.
17:04Guilty.
17:05Lights on or lights off?
17:07Dimmed like Michael D'Amico.
17:09Happiness or chocolates?
17:11Happiness with chocolates.
17:13Best time for happiness with chocolates?
17:15Night time.
17:17One thing you can't live without?
17:19Oh wow, my belief system.
17:23Thank you both so much.
17:25But we're going to end this with,
17:27you know, I want to go back to the original storyline.
17:29Rafael and I are going to ask questions.
17:31Yes.
17:33Then,
17:35Papa will catch us.
17:37Yes.
17:39Can we do that?
17:41Just to
17:43end this light.
17:45We've been very serious
17:47in this conversation.
17:49Thank you so much, Mike.
17:53We are in my house.
17:55Whatever the storyline is,
17:57Papa will catch us.
17:59Okay.
18:01Should this be our couch?
18:03Yeah, maybe.
18:05We are in a conversation.
18:09We thought
18:11we're already separated.
18:13Lights, camera,
18:15action!
18:17You feel safe?
18:19Of course, this is your house.
18:23What did you do?
18:27Are you
18:29disabled?
18:31Don't I have a free choice?
18:33Can you take care of my son?
18:35Your son looks good
18:37but why can't I?
18:39What kind of discrimination is this?
18:41And you, boy, why did you join us?
18:43You're still a kid.
18:45You're not even growing hair.
18:47Age is just a number.
18:49I love him, Papa.
18:51You love him but you don't know what love really is.
18:53He gave me a labubo.
18:55Yes, I did.
18:57Okay, labubo is expensive.
18:59So I know you can support.
19:01Okay, thank you.
19:09Raph, thank you so much.
19:11Mike, thank you.
19:13You guys are my love and respect.
19:15Thank you so much.
19:17Congratulations on Forever Young.
19:19Thank you so much.
19:21Naytay, thank you so much.
19:23For continuing
19:25to support us every day
19:27in your homes and hearts.
19:29Be kind, make your mom and dad proud
19:31and hashtag say thank you.
19:33Do one good thing a day and make this world a better place.
19:35Goodbye for now and God bless.
