00:13The residents of General Avenue in Barangay Tandang Sora, Quezon City, woke up to a blazing fire last night.

00:20The fire spread quickly to the adjacent houses made of light materials.

00:26The first alarm was set to the Bureau of Fire Protection.

00:29Romis Pondek was in their 18 fire trucks, as well as the fire volunteer groups.

00:34The flames spread to the area.

00:36Some firefighters had to go to the roof to bring water to the area.

00:41Residents who were affected fled to the adjacent chapel.

00:44Some of them were not able to save anything, like Helen's family.

00:48We heard a scream.

00:50I opened the window, and the fire was already big.

00:53It was right in front of our house.

00:55So I went downstairs.

00:57All of us went downstairs.

00:58Michelle's family was also affected.

01:01They were very thankful that their entire family was saved.

01:04Our houses were made of light materials, so it was very fast.

01:08And it was very dangerous.

01:10Almost all of our neighbors went inside.

01:15They were able to shortcut to the other houses.

01:18What's important is that our families are safe.

01:22Five residents were injured.

01:25They were immediately evacuated by the first rescue team.

01:2813-year-old woman was also injured in her knee while fleeing.

01:33A man was bitten by a dog in Binti.

01:36Because the residents of the barangay did not go down to the 18 houses that were burned,

01:40the entire number of affected families were informed.
