00:00Good afternoon. My name is Phil Hewitt, Group Arts Editor in Sussex Newspapers. Lovely to
00:06speak to Eastbourne panto legend, Tucker. Now, this is panto number 12 for you in Eastbourne.
00:13You love the venue, but it's extra special this year. You've got your twin 13-year-old
00:18daughters in the show with you. Yeah, they are. My girls are in it. And I don't want
00:22to make a big thing about it. You can do! Well, no, but the two, I mean, but they've
00:28been coming here ever since they were ever since they were born, seeing the shows. And
00:34they're part of a wonderful of a wonderful teams, the blue team and the red team. And
00:39they're fantastic. And they play the dwarves and they're singing and dancing in the show.
00:46And it is it's I went as a in a previous life. When I left school, I worked with my dad and
00:55we were in the building trade. And I know that's completely different. Yeah. However,
01:01there's still those moments of travelling to work and coming home. Well, you're sharing
01:06something, aren't you? Yeah. What about when you're on stage with them? Are you thinking
01:09these are my daughters? Or are you the complete professional? Yeah, completely professional.
01:15But the other day I was in rehearsal and they've got their heads on. They're in their costume
01:21and stuff. And I was just talking away. And then all of a sudden everyone took their head
01:24off. And I didn't even realise they were there. And I was like, oh, and I stopped and
01:29I was taken aback a little bit by seeing them there. And he was saying, don't put your daughter
01:35on the stage, Mr. Tucker. That doesn't apply then. No. Well, it doesn't because I put both
01:39of them on there. That's right then. So they outnumber you. Just tell me then your love
01:45affair with Eastbourne Panto. Why is Eastbourne Panto so special? It's it's one it's got a
01:51wonderful story, has a wonderful cast. I mean, last year was absolutely fantastic. We have
01:56Carly Norris back, who is our Wicked Queen. I have Martin Knight, who is playing my mum.
02:04And and we have we have a real friendship on and off the stage. And I think that shines
02:12through. And you have a lovely costume, Erin. I have a lovely costume there. I have all
02:17my vegetables on my costume there. So I do this little one for you. There's there's one
02:23here. This one here. This is a very small pocket. Yeah. Not much room in it. Oh. And
02:39there's I don't see that coming. That's a King Edward. So it's a jacket potato.
02:45There you are. But yeah, there's lots of that. There's loads where them come from. I'm saving
02:50the best ones for when they arrive at the theatre. Well, lovely to speak to you. Have
02:54a fabulous Christmas in Panto, in Eastbourne, in Snowy White. Tucker, great to talk to you.
02:59Thank you. Thank you, Phil. Take care. Bye bye. Merry Christmas.
