00:00Good news for our fellow countrymen who are teachers.
00:04The government is now aiming to increase the Service Recognition Incentive, or SRI, of all public school teachers.
00:14It will be increased by Php 20,000.
00:17The former Php 18,000 SRI of public school teachers
00:22is under the direction of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. in the Department of Budget and Management
00:29and the Department of Education to increase the SRI based on the latest DEPED.
00:35There are more than a million DEPED personnel in the country.
00:38According to the government, this is a recognition of the important role of teachers in educating Filipino youth.
00:45The President's directive is a great thank you and a moral booster by Education Secretary Sani Angara.
00:54Meanwhile, DVM and DEPED will announce
00:58the implementation and timeline of the so-called increase in the SRI
01:03if the funding mechanism required is approved.
