00:00After more than three decades, the Mapua Cardinals were once again crowned champions of the NCAA Men's Basketball.

00:13That was after they beat the Benil Blazers in the Final's Game 2 with a score of 94-82.

00:22For 33 years, the Mapua Cardinals struggled to be crowned champions of the NCAA Men's Basketball.

00:31That's why they persevered and the Mapua community supported them.

00:36Their family and Mapua alumni are with the whole community at the Victory Party.

00:40They feel the success from being runner-ups in Season 99.

00:45Last year, it was very painful for us.

00:47It's not that easy. I'm happy because it's the sacrifice of everyone.

00:53Maybe it's our destiny. We just have to do our part, play hard until the last buzzer.

00:58According to Mapua President and CEO, Dr. Doji Maestre Campo,

01:02the championship is perfect for the centenary of the university in January 2025.

01:08It's actually a result of hard work, grit, and really their passion to win.

01:16Some of the players of Mapua were also part of the victory in 1991 or Season 67, their last championship.

01:23It's the sweetest now. Why?

01:25100 years of Mapua, next year, before the season of the NCAA 100.
