03:54to all the viewers and viewers of the world,
03:58mothers, sisters, daughters and slaves,
04:00to all of you,
04:01Assalam-o-Alaikum.
04:05On countless blessings of Allah the Almighty,
04:11with limitless gratitude,
04:15we have been discussing this topic in great detail.
04:25In the light of the Quran and Sunnah,
04:32after its importance and superiority,
04:37we are talking about different ways of being grateful.
04:44In which,
04:46to say Alhamdulillah,
04:51to thank Allah,
04:55to imagine the blessings of Allah,
04:59and to prostrate in front of Him,
05:05especially to thank Him for a blessing,
05:13and to offer Salah five times a day,
05:17with the intention of being grateful for the blessings of Allah.
05:28And,
05:30because Salah is included in all the ways of being grateful,
05:36we have been discussing this topic in detail in the last Friday Sermon.
05:41We have been discussing the great blessings of Allah,
05:46and the great blessings of Allah,
05:49in the last Friday Sermon.
05:51Moving forward,
05:54in the Quran,
05:56Allah the Almighty,
05:58while being grateful for His blessings,
06:00while explaining the method,
06:03He has said,
06:05to mention the blessings of Allah.
06:14One way of being grateful is,
06:17to mention the blessings of Allah.
06:22In Surah Al-Ma'idah,
06:24verse number 7,
06:26Allah the Almighty has said,
06:28And mention the blessings of Allah upon you.
06:33To mention the blessings of Allah upon you.
06:42If someone asks you,
06:45If someone asks you,
06:50do not be ungrateful,
06:52or ungrateful,
06:54or ungrateful.
06:56Do not be ungrateful.
07:00Instead, you should say,
07:02I have this blessing upon me,
07:04I have this blessing upon me,
07:06I have this blessing upon me.
07:08And this is not possible.
07:15It is not possible at all,
07:18that any one of us,
07:20can leave the circle of Allah's blessings.
07:26The only need is,
07:28to have a little understanding of it.
07:30To understand it a little.
07:34So, one way,
07:36of being grateful is,
07:40to mention the blessings of Allah upon me.
07:44Allah has given me children,
07:46Allah has given me health,
07:49Allah has given me a job,
07:52Allah has given me the ability to walk,
07:55Allah has given me a good body,
07:59Allah has given me a roof over my head,
08:03If nothing else,
08:05Allah has made me the Ummah of His Beloved.
08:15One way of being grateful upon blessings,
08:20and one Surah,
08:21which Allah has mentioned in the Holy Quran,
08:25is to discuss the blessings of Allah.
08:30Therefore,
08:33in Surah Al-Tuha,
08:35Ayat no.11,
08:37The Lord of the Universe said,
08:45Discuss the blessings of Allah upon you.
08:55Now you must be thinking,
08:57What is the difference between Zikr and discussion?
09:04One is Zikr-e-Ni'mat,
09:07to mention the blessings of Allah,
09:10and the other is discussion of blessings.
09:15There is a very subtle difference between the two.
09:20Zikr means,
09:21that you are among two people,
09:24in a very limited area,
09:26to tell someone,
09:30that this is the blessing of Allah upon me.
09:34And discussion means,
09:36that two people should not know,
09:40that Allah has blessed you.
09:46And remember,
09:48the greater the blessing,
09:51the greater the discussion.
09:55It is like this, isn't it?
09:58To pass,
10:00to be promoted to the next grade,
10:02is also a blessing.
10:05But if you pass,
10:07then it will be Zikr.
10:09If you pass,
10:12and go to the next grade,
10:14from 8th to 9th,
10:16then it will be only Zikr.
10:19But if you take a position,
10:24then the person does not stop at Zikr.
10:27Then he calls and tells.
10:30So, what he has to tell,
10:32at the next level,
10:33is discussion.
10:35Now, I will stop here and tell,
10:38that the greater the blessing,
10:40then there is discussion.
10:42So, the greatest blessing of the universe
10:44is Huzoor-e-Islam.
10:46So, we have an order,
10:47not to mention,
10:48but to discuss.
10:51While going on,
10:54I have told you about the meetings of Huzoor-e-Islam.
10:58They say,
10:59what is this,
11:00that they love Huzoor-e-Islam,
11:03what is this,
11:04that they go to every street,
11:05every city,
11:06everywhere.
11:07So, the reason for this is,
11:08that the greater the blessing,
11:10then there is discussion.
11:13So, the greatest blessing of the universe is Huzoor-e-Islam.
11:16So, we do not just agree on Zikr,
11:19but we discuss.
11:29In Surah Al-Ma'idah,
11:30verse number 114,
11:32Allah, the Lord of Glory,
11:34has mentioned Jesus,
11:36and his disciples.
11:39You can read the detailed incident.
11:43What is related to our topic,
11:46is that I am talking about discussion.
11:48Jesus, peace be upon him,
11:50prayed in the presence of Allah, the Lord of Glory,
11:53O Allah, our Lord,
11:54send down upon us a table from the sky,
11:58so that it may be a feast for us,
12:01for the first and the last of us,
12:04and a sign from You,
12:07and give us sustenance,
12:08and You are the Best of Providers.
12:10O Allah,
12:12from the sky,
12:14a table,
12:15cooked food,
12:16a simple translation for you to understand,
12:19give us that,
12:22so that You may give us this blessing,
12:25so that it may be a feast for us.
12:28This day will be a day of joy for us.
12:33For the first and the last of us,
12:36for the first and the last of us,
12:40and a sign from You.
12:45This verse means that,
12:50the Prophets of Allah,
12:52Jesus, peace be upon him,
12:53especially,
12:54the day on which Allah has given that blessing,
12:57that day will be a day of joy,
13:00a sign from Allah,
13:02a day of Eid,
13:04and they are declaring it.
13:07So when we get a blessing,
13:10we should discuss it.
13:13We should tell.
13:14I will talk about this in detail later.
13:19In Muslim Sharif,
13:20there is a Hadith,
13:21Hadith no. 2444,
13:24Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas,
13:26may Allah be pleased with him,
13:28he is a narrator,
13:29when the Prophet, peace be upon him,
13:30came to Medina,
13:31he saw that the Jews of Medina,
13:34they fast for 10 Muharram.
13:38He was asked,
13:41why do you fast?
13:44He replied,
13:46On this day,
13:48Allah has saved us from the oppression of the Pharaoh,
13:53and Moses, peace be upon him,
13:55our Prophet,
13:57crossed the river with his nation,
14:01Allah has saved us from the oppression of the Pharaoh,
14:04and He has made the Pharaoh sin.
14:06So on this day,
14:08we fast as a way of thanking Allah.
14:16We fast as a way of thanking Allah.
14:21The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
14:29The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
14:31We are more worthy of Moses than you,
14:36We are more worthy of Moses than you,
14:40The Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
14:42You should also fast.
14:44Later, when the fasts of Ramadan and Mubarak became obligatory,
14:48then it was declared as Mustahab,
14:50it was declared as Sunnah.
14:52One more thing was found from this.
14:54It is that,
14:56just by speaking,
14:58by saying Shukr, Shukr,
15:01by saying Alhamdulillah,
15:02it should not be enough.
15:04Fasting is a way of thanking Allah.
15:11By saying Shukr,
15:13that Allah has solved this problem,
15:16by saying Shukr,
15:18this is also the best way of Shukr,
15:21and the best way of Shukr on the blessings of Allah.
15:25As I have told you before.
15:27And if we look at this a little more,
15:30The Prophet, peace be upon him,
15:33used to fast on the day of Pir.
15:38And when the Prophet, peace be upon him, was asked,
15:41O Messenger of Allah,
15:43Why do you fast on the day of Pir?
15:45Then the Prophet, peace be upon him, said,
15:47This day is the day of my birth,
15:51I will fast on the day of my birth.
15:56So there is a way of Shukr,
15:58and there is a way of worship as well,
16:00that you fast,
16:01give charity,
16:03you fast,
16:06you offer Namafil,
16:08by thanking the blessings of Allah.
16:11So discussing about a blessing,
16:14telling about a blessing,
16:16this is also a way of Shukr.
16:19One way of Shukr on the blessings of Allah is,
16:23to distribute the blessings of Allah.
16:31One way of Shukr is,
16:33to distribute the blessings of Allah.
16:37So in Surah Baqarah, verse number 3,
16:40In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
16:42And from what We have provided them, they spend.
16:45Whatever blessings Allah has given them,
16:49they spend it in the way of Allah.
16:55So distributing the blessings of Allah,
16:58this is also a way of Shukr on the blessings of Allah.
17:02In the Hadith of the Prophet, peace be upon him,
17:05there is a negation of Bukhal.
17:08And if you read the verses of the Holy Quran,
17:11about distributing the blessings of Allah,
17:15So in that,
17:17it is found that,
17:27Give to the relatives,
17:29to the orphans, to the needy.
17:32In this verse, a subtle thing is that,
17:35Allah has given to the relatives before the orphans and the needy.
17:40Before the orphans and the needy,
17:46Allah has given to the relatives.
17:49And if Allah wills,
17:51to give to others,
17:54Allah gives to the non-believers.
17:56But He does not give to His relatives.
17:59If He gives to them,
18:01they may not be equal to Him.
18:03But Allah has given to you,
18:05and He has given to those who take it.
18:07And He has a greater right on you,
18:10socially, morally, and familially,
18:14that you should inform about it first.
18:17If your relative will spread his hand in front of someone else,
18:21then it is a matter of shame for you too.
18:26It is a matter of shame for you too.
18:28So respecting his self-respect,
18:30respecting his self-respect,
18:32respecting his honour,
18:34respecting his status,
18:36informing about them first,
18:38is a commandment of Allah,
18:40and it is also a Sunnah of His Beloved.
18:43Therefore,
18:45in Hadith no. 1961 of Tirmidhi Sharif,
18:48Prophet Muhammad said,
18:50And the miser is nearer to Allah,
18:53nearer to Paradise,
18:56nearer to the people,
18:59and far from the Fire.
19:03And the miser is nearer to Allah,
19:07nearer to Paradise,
19:10nearer to the people,
19:12and far from the Fire.
19:16The one who spends in the way of Allah,
19:19he is nearer to Allah,
19:21nearer to Paradise,
19:23nearer to the people,
19:25but remember,
19:27he is far from the Fire.
19:31And the miser,
19:33he is far from Allah,
19:35far from the people,
19:37far from Paradise,
19:39and remember, he is nearer to the Fire.
19:44This is a different topic,
19:46but the blessings of Allah,
19:48which is a commandment of Allah,
19:52which is a commandment of Allah,
19:54while being within its scope,
19:56to spend it in the way of Allah,
19:59to convey it to the people,
20:01and to distribute it,
20:03to distribute it,
20:05this is also the best way
20:07to be thankful for the blessings of Allah.
20:12One situation is that
20:14Allah has given wealth,
20:17let me tell you a little bit about it.
20:20A person does not have the wealth to give,
20:24but a person has the authority,
20:28the authority of a pen,
20:30he is an officer,
20:32now what does he need?
20:34To solve the problems of the people,
20:37to distribute the easiness among them.
20:41There is an SHO,
20:43there is a judge,
20:45there is a DC,
20:46there is an AC,
20:48who have been given the authority
20:50to solve the problems of the people,
20:53so they should create ease for the people.
20:56And the one who has the right,
20:58if someone else,
20:59on the basis of oppression,
21:01on the basis of embezzlement,
21:03on the basis of bribery,
21:05wants to take someone's right,
21:07now he cannot help him with money,
21:09but he holds the hand of the oppressed
21:12and gives him his right,
21:14then Allah the Lord of Glory
21:16will like this too.
21:21And all these positions,
21:24apparently the whole world
21:26listens to the relation of Huzoor.
21:29These positions are on the basis
21:31that Allah has given them
21:33to create ease for the people,
21:35remember this.
21:37To solve the problems of the people,
21:40Allah has given you this position.
21:43Whatever authority Allah has given you,
21:46whether you are a manager,
21:47or an administrator,
21:49or Allah has given you the SHO,
21:52or you are a judge,
21:54or you are an AC,
21:55or a DC,
21:56whichever position you are in,
21:58Allah the Lord of Glory has given you this position
22:00so that you can help the oppressed.
22:04Because the people who are coming to you,
22:08they are oppressed.
22:10They are coming to you to solve the problems.
22:12So you should solve the problems of the people.
22:15Not that the person who has come to solve the problem,
22:18you should put him in such a circle
22:21that he says,
22:22we don't want this, we don't want that.
22:26So to create ease for the people,
22:29to solve the problems of the people,
22:32by using the authority of Allah,
22:34to solve the problems of the people,
22:37to solve the problems of the people,
22:39this is the meaning of the Hadith of the Prophet.
22:42The Prophet said,
22:44The one who created ease for the people,
22:50created ease for the people,
22:54Allah will solve the problems of the people.
23:02In fact, it has happened that
23:05if you don't have help with money,
23:08you should help him with your position.
23:11You should help him.
23:13Otherwise,
23:14if a poor person wants to cross the road,
23:17in our society the world keeps on moving,
23:19we don't even think that we should give him a way.
23:22To hold his hand and make him cross the road,
23:24this is not a big deal.
23:28So if this is not possible,
23:31then give him the comfort of speech.
23:36If you don't have anything to give,
23:39if you don't have anything to share,
23:42give him the comfort of speech.
23:44Just tell him not to worry,
23:46Allah will help you.
23:48Allah will create ease for you.
23:51Have faith in Allah.
23:53Have faith in Allah.
23:54Turn to Allah.
23:56Allah will make it better.
23:58Just give him the comfort of speech.
24:01This is the meaning of the hadith.
24:03It is the hadith of the Prophet.
24:05On the Day of Judgment,
24:07a person will be sitting worried.
24:09He doesn't know what will happen.
24:11He doesn't know what will happen.
24:14Then a beautiful young man will come to him.
24:19He will come to him and say,
24:21Why are you worried?
24:23He will say,
24:24Can't you see what is happening?
24:27Can't you see the glory of Allah?
24:30Can't you see that people are selfish?
24:33Obviously, I am worried because of that.
24:37He will say,
24:38No problem, don't worry.
24:40He is worried.
24:41But think that Allah is Merciful and Merciful.
24:47He will remind him,
24:49You did a good deed in this world.
24:51You did a good deed in this world.
24:54You did a good deed in this world.
24:56You did a good deed in this world.
24:59Allah will be Merciful and Merciful.
25:01Don't worry.
25:02When he will come with a little courage,
25:04he will get comfort.
25:05He will ask him,
25:07Tell me,
25:08Today everyone is worried about themselves.
25:12Who are you?
25:18Today everyone is worried about themselves.
25:22Who are you to come to me like this
25:24He is comforting him.
25:26He will say,
25:27Remember,
25:31In this world,
25:32Your Muslim brother was worried.
25:36So you comforted him.
25:41You gave him courage.
25:44You comforted him.
25:47I am that comfort.
25:51I am that comfort.
25:55Allah has kept that comfort and courage
25:58for the Day of Resurrection.
26:02And Allah has sent him to you like this.
26:07In this world,
26:08He comforted someone.
26:10Today in the Day of Resurrection,
26:11My servant is worried.
26:13O comfort,
26:14You go and comfort my servant.
26:20So,
26:21To give comfort,
26:23For people,
26:25If someone is in a hurry,
26:27Leave the way.
26:29Sir, you go ahead.
26:31You may be in a hurry.
26:33While riding,
26:34Take care of the elders.
26:36Respecting the women,
26:38Let them ride first.
26:40And so on.
26:42These are all those things,
26:44And from what We have provided for them, they spend.
26:47If you don't have money to spend,
26:50Then spend as much as you can.
26:52Use it for people's convenience.
26:56And if you don't have that,
26:58Then comfort the other brother verbally,
27:00That don't worry.
27:02Have courage.
27:03In our country,
27:04Sometimes,
27:05People go for the care of the sick.
27:11In the hospital or at home.
27:13I am teaching you now.
27:15I am telling you this for your attention.
27:17They go for the care of the sick.
27:22For the care of the sick man.
27:24The sick man does like this,
27:27That he gets worried.
27:30They make him more sick.
27:33What does it mean?
27:34O Sir, then what has happened to you?
27:37Why do you make him repeat his illness?
27:43So that he mentions it again and again.
27:46So that he goes into his mental involvement.
27:49You don't mention it at all.
27:51O Sir, what has happened to him,
27:52You have saved him.
27:53Allah will do good.
27:54InshaAllah.
27:57If five people go for the care of the sick,
28:01Five people listen to his story,
28:03They say, O Sir, tell me,
28:04How did you get sick?
28:06If five people go for the care of the sick,
28:08Tell me,
28:09How did they get sick?
28:11MashaAllah.
28:12So this is also one of the manners and ethics,
28:15That you create ease for the people.
28:18And people should be clear on this,
28:20From the Hadith of the Prophet.
28:21The Prophet said,
28:26Create ease.
28:29Don't create trouble.
28:32Create ease for the people.
28:38And tell people small things.
28:41Tell them good news.
28:43Give them hope.
28:45Give them courage.
28:47Don't lose hope in the mercy of Allah.
28:51And don't create hatred in the people.
28:54Don't create malice in the people.
28:57So one way to be thankful for the blessings of Allah,
29:01Is to distribute the blessings of Allah.
29:05Another way to be thankful for the blessings of Allah,
29:10Is to not be heedless of the blessings of Allah.
29:14What does this mean?
29:16Don't be heedless of receiving the blessings of Allah.
29:20Hazrat Sirri Saqti.
29:26He is one of the scholars of the Prophet.
29:33And he is the uncle of Hazrat Junaid-e-Baghdadi.
29:38Hazrat Junaid-e-Baghdadi is the nephew of Hazrat Sirri Saqti.
29:44Hazrat Sirri Saqti was once sitting,
29:47And he had many scholars present with him.
29:52Many.
29:54So he said to them,
29:57Praise the blessings of Allah.
29:59What is Shukr?
30:03When I was reading this, I said,
30:05What a time it was for the saints of Allah.
30:09What a time it was for the saints of Allah.
30:12When in their gatherings it was said,
30:14Praise the blessings of Allah.
30:16The saints of Allah kept saying,
30:18What is the rate of this or that Diethitia.
30:21And what is the cost of this or that car.
30:23The gatherings are vacant because He is talking about Allah.
30:28He asked them to praise the Quran
30:30There were about 130 saints seated at the gatherings.
30:33Some praised it with praising it.
30:35Some praised it with from another group,
30:37All other ones did it same way.
30:39Every one reacted differently.
30:41There was no change.
30:42There were about 130 definitions.
30:45different.
30:47What did the scholars of that time do out of gratitude?
30:49Allahu Akbar.
30:51I have told you
30:53seven ways
30:55to be grateful.
30:57Now I am telling you
30:59the seventh way.
31:01One way to be grateful is
31:03that you should not be
31:05negligent of Allah's blessings.
31:07I will explain
31:09that.
31:11Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi,
31:13my nephew,
31:15he was six or seven years old
31:17and he used to run around in the gatherings
31:19like children.
31:21Sometimes he used to come
31:23and sit next to his uncle with love.
31:25He used to take the children
31:27with love.
31:29He was young.
31:31He used to run around
31:33and then
31:35he used to sit on his uncle's lap.
31:37When he had
31:39about 130 praises,
31:41everyone did it.
31:43So Hazrat Sirri Sakti
31:45paid attention to
31:47Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi's children
31:49and said,
31:51Junaid,
31:53you also tell
31:55how to be grateful.
31:59Remember here,
32:01Huzoor called himself
32:03Junaidi.
32:07That is, your lineage is Junaidi.
32:11Alright?
32:13I am not going to discuss
32:15the specifics of this.
32:17He asked
32:19Junaid Baghdadi,
32:21Junaid, you tell
32:23how to be grateful.
32:25Now look at the age
32:27and look at Allah's grace.
32:29Look at the age,
32:31look at Allah's grace,
32:33look at Allah's blessings
32:35and at that age
32:37look at the knowledge
32:39Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi
32:41who is of a young age,
32:43he said,
32:45Uncle,
32:47Allah's blessings
32:49Allah's blessings
32:51do not spend
32:53in disobeying
32:55Allah.
32:59He did not understand.
33:03I will tell you again.
33:05Allah's blessings
33:07Allah's blessings
33:09do not spend
33:11in disobeying.
33:15Listen again.
33:17Allah's blessings
33:19do not spend
33:21in disobeying.
33:23This is being grateful.
33:25And if you look at it,
33:27if you look at
33:29Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi's statement,
33:31a person who is
33:33happy and content,
33:35isn't it?
33:37If a person is happy
33:39and content,
33:41the more money he gets,
33:43the disobedience
33:45increases to the same level.
33:47My elders used to say
33:49that poverty,
33:51poverty is that which
33:53makes you dependent, not that.
33:55It is not that which
33:57forces you to ask.
33:59It is to be suitable
34:01that you do not have to ask anyone.
34:03And
34:05even if it is not
34:07that much,
34:09it is said that poverty
34:11saves the person
34:13from a lot of sins.
34:21Except,
34:23I am not talking about everyone,
34:25except,
34:27the reason is that
34:29he is not content.
34:31Hazrat Junaid Baghdadi
34:33was praised for being grateful.
34:35These special well-off people,
34:37whom Allah
34:39has given material and financial
34:41abundance,
34:43it is especially for them
34:45that Allah's
34:47blessings which
34:49Allah has given,
34:51to save them from spending
34:53in disobeying Allah,
34:55this is also being grateful to Allah.
35:01So, do not be heedless
35:03of Allah's blessings.
35:05One way to be grateful
35:07is to not be heedless.
35:09If you are worried
35:11that you have to offer the five daily prayers,
35:13what do you think?
35:15If you are not praying for Allah,
35:17then you are praying for your business.
35:19In the morning,
35:21you have to pray Surah Yaseen.
35:23Why?
35:25It is a question, isn't it?
35:27It is a blessing.
35:29Don't you think it is a blessing?
35:31Then why do you sit and pray?
35:35What is the meaning
35:37of behind?
35:39You are praying only for your business.
35:41We do everything for our business.
35:43Try to do it for Allah.
35:45Try to do it for
35:47the Lord of the Universe.
35:49So,
35:51these are some ways of being grateful.
35:53Today, I have mentioned four ways.
35:55I have added more to it.
35:57We can be grateful
35:59for Allah's blessings
36:01through all these ways.
36:03There are two ways left.
36:05I did not mention them
36:07because they were not complete.
36:09May Allah enable us to be grateful
36:11for His blessings,
36:13to make it easy for us,
36:15and may He enable us
36:17to prostrate before Him
36:19with the understanding of His blessings.
36:27Peace be upon you.
