00:00President Quiosco's cadiwas opened yesterday
00:03selling 40 pesos per kilo of well-milled rice to their families in Metro Manila.
00:09This is part of the Rice for All program of the government
00:12which aims to address discrepancies
00:15by lowering the price of imported rice and increasing the retail price.
00:20The Department of Agriculture promised that this is not just for Metro Manila
00:25because it is possible that next year,
00:28President Quiosco's cadiwas will also be established in the provinces.
00:32Aside from the public market,
00:3341 cadiwas centers in the country also have a Rice for All program.
00:38President Quiosco's cadiwas are open every Tuesday to Saturday
00:42from 8 am to 5 pm.
