00:00We start with Thursday night Intel, a big one in Detroit Rock City, the Motor City tonight
00:09at Ford Field.
00:11What a battle in the north, the nine and three Packers taking on the 11 and one Lions who
00:15beat them at Lambeau by 10.
00:18What do we got tonight?
00:19Yeah, I can't wait for this game.
00:21You don't have to worry about whether this game is indoors in Detroit.
00:24And let's not forget though, the Packers went into their last year in Detroit on Thanksgiving.
00:29That was a breakout game for Jordan Love.
00:31He was terrific since then.
00:33But tonight, let's hit the injuries first because they're going to impact this matchup.
00:36Let's start with the Packers.
00:38Romeo Dobbs, who's a starting receiver, he's going to miss his second straight game due
00:42to a concussion.
00:43But Scott, to me, it's not a big deal.
00:46Don Tavian Wicks, who's a second year receiver who they absolutely love, he'll fill in for
00:50him.
00:51Quite frankly, I think he's a better football player.
00:52That's not a big deal.
00:53Now, their best corner Jair Alexander is out.
00:55Now, Scott, they've been able to win without him.
00:58His third straight game he's going to miss and his sixth game he's going to miss this
01:01season.
01:02They've been able to win without him.
01:03Yeah, you like to have him based on the fact that they're facing the Lions, who have a
01:06high-powered offense, particularly in the passing game, but they've been able to win
01:09without him.
01:10Now, let's get to the Lions.
01:11Now, you mentioned the Lions at 11-1.
01:13And obviously, if they win this game, that pretty much salts away the Packers from trying
01:19to win the division.
01:20Of course, the Vikings somehow only have two losses.
01:23For the Lions here, I was talking to Craig Mish about this on Monday on the Newswire
01:28show.
01:29If you really look at Scott, their injury issues, they're almost all in the front seven.
01:33They're down eight players in the front seven.
01:35Now, when I say that, starters and backups, not all starters, but they're down three defensive
01:40linemen and three inside backers, Scott.
01:42That is really difficult.
01:45We'll talk about the number tonight in a minute, but that to me is tough.
01:49The thing about the Packers is, man, they will run the football with Josh Jacobs.
01:53They stay on schedule.
01:54They're a balanced team with Matt LaFleur.
01:56These West Coast offensive coaches, they like to run the football.
02:00That is not good for the Lions, who barely beat the Bears.
02:03Remember, they almost choked that game, came real close to choking that game.
02:07That obviously cost Matt Iberflusa's job, one of the reasons why Iberflusa was fired.
02:10But the bottom line is, I would be very concerned if I'm the Lions and they're injured.
02:14Now, I should add, some of these guys will be back by the end of the season.
02:18Some won't.
02:19Malcolm Rodriguez, who's been their top backup linebacker, he's out for the season with an
02:23ACL injury.
02:24Alex Anzalone, we talked about him last week at the Broken Left Forum, looking at him back
02:28for the playoffs.
02:29So, Scott, when you look at this matchup here, it's the battle of attrition here.
02:33Who's the healthiest?
02:34And clearly, clearly, the Packers are right now.
