00:00Today, the DSWD will distribute food stamps to their low-income households here in Moriones, Tondo, Manila

00:19The government is continuously doing programs to fight starvation in the country, particularly malnutrition.
00:30More than 259,000 low-income households are benefiting from the Department of Social Welfare and Development or DSWD's No Starvation Program.
00:41This is the good news of the DSWD Spokesperson, Assistant Secretary Irene Dumlao.
00:48It is equal to 86.47% of the 300,000 target beneficiaries before 2024 ends.
00:57This is far from the 2,000 beneficiaries when the Anti-Hunger Program started in 2023.
01:02The program has already reached 22 provinces in 10 regions of the country.
01:08The goal of the program is to provide food to 1 million food-poor families by 2027.
01:15The food stamp program is one of the priority programs of the Administration of President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.
01:23The program aims to fight the involuntary hunger experienced by low-income households.
01:28The qualified beneficiaries will be given Php 3,000 food credits for their Electronic Benefit Transfer or EBT card.
01:37They can buy food from three groups of food that are made up of 50% carbohydrates, 30% protein, and 20% fiber.
01:48Today, the DSWD will distribute food stamps to low-income households in Barangay 1, 2, 3, Moriones, Tondo, Manila
01:59so that they can buy nutritious food.
