00:00This is the reissue of Goodbye Mr Mackenzie, Good Deeds and Dirty Rags. I started working
00:06with the band in 2009 as Filthy Tongues from Edinburgh and I was a massive fan of the band
00:12from back in the day. I was a big Goodbye Mr Mackenzie fan and I couldn't actually believe
00:17that I'd met them at an event and we ended up going full circle and getting the record back
00:22again. I issued it and we licensed it from Universal Music and I've got my own record
00:29label as well and this was probably the last record that we've put out on it. There will be
00:34more in future. I hope to see Blitzkrieg be able to take over and put out some new releases of
00:41young bands because since 2004 I've been involved in Neen Tetra. So that in itself is a great record
00:48that featured a few pretty famous people as well including Big John Duncan who was not only in the
00:57punk band Exploited but he was Kurt Cobain's guitar tech and a young fresh looking 18 year old
01:03Shirley Manson who is the singer in the band Garbage, the American band Garbage and she's a
01:10very very well known actor now and actress in America. The Glasgow music scene has always been
01:17very important. Glasgow has a different kind of stables of different types of artists you know so
01:25from right back at the start from when Alex Harvey was doing his thing in the Barrowland up there
01:30and you know as a big band you know as a kind of rock and roller and we've come on full pelt and
01:37we've had so many important bands like Aztec Camera, The Skids, Big Country, just so many
01:44orange juice. We've always punched above our weight with regards to content for musical bands
01:51and I'm a massive fan of Scottish music so I think you know of all genres from pop to rock to
02:01soul to you know even hip-hop we've done it all and it's really great to see all the
02:08bands that are coming through now apparently are punk orientated you know you've got bands like
02:15you know you've got Snatched, you've got quite a few bands like Soapbox and Valour and stuff
02:23like that they're all they're all reminiscent of bands that I remember seeing back in the day
02:28in the pubs and in the clubs in Glasgow.
