The nominees for the MOBO Awards 2025 have been announced, with no less than seven artists leading the field for next year's ceremony, each with three nominations each.

The event is also set to make it's debut in the North East of England, with 2025's ceremony to be held at the Utilita Arena in Newcastle on February 18 2025.

00:05on offer has seen seven artists lead the nominations for next year's event, with Ray, Georgia Smith,
00:12Cleo Sol, Sampha, Bashy, Getz, and Central C all up for three awards next year.
00:20Among the other nominated acts for 2025's ceremony include Little Sims, competing for
00:26the Best Female Act, Pink Panther S, up for Best Electronic Dance Act, Ezra Collective
00:32competing in the Best Jazz Act category, and Asake being recognised for Best International
00:38Act and Best African Music Act, hopefully.
00:42Mobo founder Kanyaking CBE admitted she was taken aback by the incredible output that
00:48black artists have provided the UK music scene throughout the last 12 months with, calling
00:53it quote, some of the best we've had in years.
00:57These distinct, uncompromising voices across different genres from R&B and soul to grime
01:02hip-hop to jazz and alternative are not just soundtracks for our days, they provide healing
01:08and reflection, and also escapism in times of need.
01:13Next year's Mobo Awards ceremony is set to make its debut in Newcastle when it takes
01:17over the utility Arena on February 18th, 2025, with tickets already on sale now through the
01:24Mobo Awards website.
