President Lai Ching-te is continuing his diplomatic tour through the Pacific islands, visiting Taiwan's ally Tuvalu and meeting with its Prime Minister Feleti Teo before moving on to an overnight stopover in the U.S. territory of Guam.

00:00President Lai is on his way to the U.S. Territory of Guam after a short visit to
00:04the Pacific Island nation of Tuvalu, one of Taiwan's 12 remaining diplomatic
00:09allies. Lai met with Tuvalu Prime Minister Felitti Teoh and other
00:13officials and signed several agreements including one on undersea cables. Lai
00:19was only in the country for about seven hours before departing for an overnight
00:23stop in the U.S. Territory of Guam where he will reportedly meet with its
00:28governor. Lai will then move on to another of Taiwan's allies Palau, the
00:32final stop of his diplomatic tour through several Pacific Islands.
