00:36I would never say never, but they feel done to me.
00:40The thing that I have the issue with is their offensive line, and I've been harping on this
00:43for a couple years now amid Brock Curtis' rise.
00:47Trent Williams really transforms how their offensive line performs.
00:52Without him, the unit goes from above average to below average, and that just creates all
00:57sorts of problems for the team.
00:59With him out of the lineup in recent weeks, we've seen them be unable to move the ball,
01:03and that's just been compounded by Brandon Ayuk's absence, Christian McCaffrey's lack
01:08of full health, and now with McCaffrey and Mason out, a lot is going to fall on Brock
01:13Curtis behind a shakier offensive line without one of his top two receivers.
01:18And Debo Samuel, let's face it, isn't having a good year either.
01:21I think you just look at the key injuries, like you said, Trent Williams, Brandon Ayuk,
01:27and Christian McCaffrey on offense, that has decimated that unit.
01:30And defensively, without Nick Bosa, their pass rush is significantly worse, and as we
01:35all know in the NFL, a good pass rush is the key to sporting a great defense.
01:40So as long as Bosa and Williams are out of the lineup, this is just going to be a big
01:44problem for the 49ers.
01:45So I don't think they're going to come back from this this year.
01:48I think they're going to have to kind of re-rack and focus towards next year.
01:51But again, never say never, but two games back in the NFC West race at this point in
01:55the year, it's tough to back them.
