00:00For the two-time reigning national champs in Yukon in the Maui Invitational, John, they
00:10dropped all three games out in Maui.
00:13It led to Dan Hurley back stateside over the weekend saying he is never going to sign Connecticut
00:19up for another early season MTE, that's multiple games in a tournament environment.
00:25But Yukon still did hang on to the number 25 spot in the recent AP poll that came out
00:31yesterday afternoon.
00:32John, let's talk about Connecticut big picture.
00:36What was the biggest issue for the Huskies out in Maui and how does Dan Hurley fix it?
00:41I think you got to look at three things right now.
00:44The first is defense.
00:45I mean, the backbone of Yukon's run the past two years has been defense.
00:49Obviously, it looks a lot different without Donovan Klingin, but Yukon's three opponents
00:54in Maui, Memphis, Colorado, Dayton, all shot 50% or better from the field against the Huskies.
01:01The next thing is going to be guard play.
01:03That was a big question for Yukon coming into the season.
01:06There are major question marks right now for Yukon in the backcourt.
01:10A year ago, you had a first-team All-American in Tristan Newton.
01:13Right now, role allocation on the perimeter is still a major question for Yukon.
01:18And then the five-spot, Ben, is another question.
01:20Two years ago, Yukon had Adama Sunogo, the most outstanding player in the 2023 Final Four.
01:26Last year, it had Donovan Klingin.
01:28Samson Johnson, Terrace Reed have the ability to be a good two-headed monster, but obviously
01:33not at the level that Yukon has had the last two seasons.
