On the anniversary of a murder that shocked the nation, politicians and activists have held a rally in front of the Presidential Office in Taipei to insist that the country keep the death penalty. Polls show the large majority of Taiwan's public are in favor of capital punishment.

01:27But protesters here continue to take a stand, calling for more robust protections of the
01:31death penalty, urging lawmakers to safeguard what they say will ensure justice in Taiwanese society.
