Murderer, Rapist Avoids Death Penalty in Taiwan

A man found guilty of killing, robbing, and raping a woman in 2014 has avoided the death penalty. Taiwan's top court ruled the murder was random, not premeditated, and therefore did not justify the use of capital punishment.
