00:00The Philippine Statistics Authority confirmed that there is no record of the camera looking for Mary Grace Piatos,
00:09associated with the confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President.
00:14Joseph Moro was able to find out.
00:19The name Woodry, is it correct? Mary Grace Piatos? Do you think that is a real person?
00:25The Philippine Statistics Authority has an answer to that question.
00:28The House Committee on Good Government is related to Mary Grace Piatos,
00:32one of the signatories of the requested acknowledgment receipts
00:36as receiving funds from the confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President in 2022.
00:42Upon checking the PSA in their records,
00:44there is no birth, death, and marriage certificate of a Mary Grace Piatos.
00:49If the committee is able to provide additional information,
00:52such as the name, place, and PSA that is related to her parents, they can look for her.
00:58The acknowledgment receipt is like a bogus, it's like that's what's happening there.
01:05So maybe our next step is to check other names as well.
01:12The officials in the Office of the Vice President, led by no other than Sara Duterte,
01:17invented receipts to defend the incorrect use of confidential funds.
01:29Now, there is a concrete proof that the money was not used correctly.
01:37The Vice Chairperson of the House Committee on Good Government, Representative Jefferson Conghoon,
01:43said that Piatos was the one who received the most confidential funds,
01:47even though it was not mentioned how much it was in total.
01:50Aside from Mary Grace Piatos, they also have a doubtful acknowledgment receipt
01:54that they are investigating the signatures in the National Bureau of Investigation.
01:58But can they use an untrue name in the liquidation of confidential funds?
02:04We are still getting the Commission on Audit, but even the Congress admitted that it's not clear.
02:09Under Joint Circular No. 2015-01 by COA and the Department of Budget and Management
02:15regarding the liquidation of confidential funds,
02:18the documents that need to be submitted are the liquidation report from the agency,
02:22a certified copy of the check, and the disbursement voucher approved by the head of the agency and its account.
02:29Documentary evidence of the payment and certification of the agency,
02:34a copy of the physical and financial plan, and accomplishment report.
02:38According to the committee that is investigating the confidential funds of the Office of the Vice President
02:42and the Department of Education, they have sufficient information not only to restrict the use of confidential funds
02:49in a new law, but also to investigate criminal cases.
02:53This is for the complaint of bribery and graft and corruption.
02:57We will recommend filing of charges against the staff of BP.
03:03The staff of the Vice President and the DepEd, and even the Vice President, is not immune to corruption.
03:12The backstop at her office is responsible for all of that.
03:18We are also welcoming the inauguration of the office of Vice President Sara Duterte.
03:22For GMA Integrated News, Joseph Morong, for Tutok 24 Horas.
