Merseyrail have released their special festive timetable to keep the city region moving over the Christmas and New Year Period. Trains will run every day, except Christmas Day, with the Boxing Day service returning to support those attending events or heading out to indulge in retail therapy.

00:15On Christmas Eve, services will run right throughout the day, with the last trains departing
00:20around 8.30pm.
00:21On Boxing Day, the service will run from approximately 9am to 6pm, with trains calling at selected
00:26stations across the network.
00:28Additional services will be available between Liverpool and Aintree to support those attending
00:32the Boxing Day races.
00:34On New Year's Eve, services will operate as usual, with last trains departing around
00:388pm.
00:39On New Year's Day, a 30-minute Sunday service will run across all lines, helping customers
00:43kick off the new year with ease.
00:45Full details of first and last departures are available on the Mersey Rail website and
00:50journey planner.
00:51Customers can also speak to staff at any staffed ticket office.
00:55Services on all other days will operate to the normal timetable unless stated.
