00:00In the midst of fierce trials in the Philippines this year, President Ferdinand R. Marquez Jr.
00:06encouraged every Filipino to celebrate Christmas.
00:10The President said that after lighting the Christmas tree in Malacanang last night.
00:15Here, President Marquez Jr. called on our fellow Filipinos to remember the victims of the typhoon
00:22and to put an end to the calamity and disaster of Christmas.
00:26Christmas is not just a time to be happy, but also a time to help those in need.
00:33Despite the trials this year, the spirit of Christmas will remain strong in the hearts of every Filipino.
00:43But as we celebrate, all I'd like is to ask you to hold the thought for all those people
00:52who up to now are trying to recover from the effects of the six typhoons that we suffered in
01:0023 days. Many of them are still in shelters, many of them are still in need. My Christmas wish
01:10is that despite everything, every Filipino should feel somehow Christmas.
