Taiwan hosted its first ever Tour de France challenger event at the scenic Sun Moon Lake. The competition consisted of two routes, one for casual riders and the other a Tour de France qualifier for professional racers.

00:08Participants from almost three dozen countries took part in the race, both professionals and amateurs.
00:14The competition was divided into two courses, a 29-kilometer route and a more challenging 104-kilometer circuit,
00:21which saw cycling legends Mark Cavendish and Chris Froome participate.
00:26At stake were qualification spots for the actual Tour de France next year.
