The Kelantan Public Works Department (JKR) has identified 10 landslides on federal roads across five districts - Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Jeli, and Machang, following last week's floods.

Meanwhile, a landslide at the Desa Emas Housing Estate in Machang affected a single house located closest to the hillside.

00:00The Kelantan Public Works Department, JKR, has identified 10 landslides on federal roads

00:08JKR Director Nikso Yakub stated on Sunday that the affected roads span five districts
00:14– Guamusang, Kuala Krai, Tanah Merah, Jerli and Machang.
00:19He explained that JKR has installed warning signs and barriers in the affected areas,
00:24urging road users to exercise caution and follow instructions.
00:29Some areas are completely closed due to ongoing soil movements, and drivers are advised to
00:34avoid these routes to prevent accidents.
00:38On Saturday, a landslide also occurred at the Desa Hermas Housing Estate in Machang
00:43after continuous rainfall.
00:46The Kelantan Fire and Rescue Department, JBPM, dispatched aid personnel to the scene at 10.36
00:53a.m. and no casualties were reported.
00:56Che Ayman Hashim Abdullah, an officer at the Machang Land and District Office, noted
01:01that about 20 low-cost terrace houses are in the area, which was recently opened.
01:07Fortunately, residents were not home during the incident, as they had gone to work.
01:12The landslide impacted only one house, closest to the hillside.
