Fighting Maroons down Growling Tigers to advance to UAAP Finals  The University of the Philippines is back in the finals for the fourth straight time. The Fighting Maroons fended off a gutsy University of Santo Tomas (UST) Growling Tigers, 78-69 to advance to the Finals of the UAAP Season 87 men’s basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City. on Nov. 30, 2024  The Fighting Maroons banked on Francis Lopez and Harold Alarcon, who contributed 16 points each to stop the Growling Tigers from forging a do-or-die.
