We visited Bath Christmas Market on opening day (November 28) to learn about this year's stallholders.

The market has over 200 chalets lined across the Georgian streets of Bath Street, Milsom Street and Abbey Quarter.

There are wide range of products on offer at the market including stunning Christmas decorations, indie fragrances, handmade jewellery and gifts for your furry companions.

Food offerings include classics like mulled wine, spiced apple juice and churros among many other treats.

We talked with some of the traders to learn about their business and the products they offer.

00:00Bath Christmas Market has officially opened its doors today. Let's find out what this
00:05market has to offer.
00:07Hi, I'm Vicky from Pink Blind Mango and I design and make handcrafted jewellery. So
00:14it's all made from polymer clay, like this one, and it's very lightweight and I try to
00:21make my jewellery with sterling silver posts and hooks. But also I am very passionate about
00:29sustainability so I also use recycled silver as much as possible. And some of my best selling
00:35pieces, my favourite pieces, I'll show you. So I've handcrafted this from resin, it's
00:40a sage jewellery set and this is recycled silver. And each dot of this colour is applied
00:47by hand and mixed by hand so it takes about a week to make these products. But yeah, they're
00:52my favourite and I think these are a perfect gift because it's in a beautiful gift box
00:57as well.
00:58Can you tell us a bit about the products you offer?
01:01So it's all homemade fudge made in Bradford-on-Avon, which is like 15 minutes down the road. This
01:07is probably our fourth or fifth year doing the Bath Christmas Market. And yeah, so it's
01:12really our small family run business and we've won a few great taste awards for some of our
01:16flavours.
01:18And I paint woodland wildlife and my whippets.
01:22Can you tell us a bit more about your store and the products you offer?
01:26Yeah, so they are all sustainable, so it's paper and wood products and they are all handmade
01:33by myself.
01:34So what we're doing, or what we do, is predominantly lemonade. It's all natural, it's all steel,
01:42it's just a really good natural soft drink. We do seven different flavours, we use all
01:49the real ingredients, good ingredients as well. Yeah, it's just that basically and they're
01:53really good for mixing as well if you're sort of into your cocktails, things like that.
01:58What we've got here, we've got some aprons for adults and children, we've also got tea
02:03towels, we've got some Christmas designs as well. We've got cards, lots of scrunchies
02:10as you can see in here. We've got silk ones, we've got cotton ones and we've got a soft
02:16fabric one also. So we've got lots of different things for lots of different people.
02:20So we're based in the Quantock Hills in Somerset and we make apple juice, so we pick and press
02:26the apples ourselves and we do a really Christmassy one which is our chai spiced apple juice,
02:32which is apple juice with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, black pepper and ginger included.
02:37So it makes a really nice non-alcoholic alternative for Christmas, there's no added sugars or
02:42anything so it's really healthy. We also do one with root ginger, one with beetroot and
02:47a plain apple as well. My name is Jules, I work for Dorothy House Hospice. We're here
02:52for the whole of Bath Christmas Market, basically promoting our products, our body care and
02:57our home fragrance range called Ubiety. It was made specifically for the hospice, which
03:03covers Bath, North East Somerset and Wiltshire and all the profits from the sale of our products
03:07go back to the hospice. It's a great place to get your Christmas presents, all the products
03:12are vegan friendly, they're cruelty free, there's no nasties in anything, it's made
03:16by the same company that make the Bramley and Cow Shed, so they really are lovely products
03:20and we've got some amazing discounts, discounts you can't get online at the moment. So I'd
03:24say if you are coming to Bath, come and find us, we're behind the Thermace Bar and we'd
03:28love to see you. So that's Ubiety from Dorothy House Hospice.
