00:18Adam Cole did an interview recently with Case Lowe from Q101, and revealed that he once

00:24avoided getting a kiss from a girl because he wanted to watch wrestling.

00:29We had no way out, Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton, and I had already seen the match, but I wanted

00:35to watch it on DVD, and she was trying to kiss me.

00:38And I said, hey, listen, not right now, I got to watch Rey Mysterio vs Randy Orton.

00:43So what wrestling match would you not kiss someone to watch?

01:30be headlined by the OG Bloodline and CM Punk taking on Bloodline 2000 and Bronson Reed.

01:44In the comment section is a light with ideas on the finish to the match, with ideas such

01:48as Seth Rollins and To The Rock getting involved.

01:51The Bloodline drama has dominated Smackdown for the last few years, but grew in size in

01:562024 with the inclusion of Gorillaz of Destiny and Jacob Fatu.

02:01Throughout the year, there have been rumours and reports of other members of the Bloodline

02:05family tree coming into the WWE, like Zilla Fatu, Hikaleo and Lance Anoa'i.

02:12And according to Fightful Select, it looks like Lance should have made his debut in NXT

02:17before now.

02:18In its Q&A section, a Fightful Select backer asked what the latest on Lance Anoa'i was,

02:24to which Sean Ross Sapp replied,

02:26When I heard that Lance was signed by WWE, it came with unfortunate news.

02:30They weren't expecting him to be cleared to wrestle in 2024, and it was looking like

02:35early 2025 before he could.

02:38Following Survivor Series, WrestleVotes Radio are reporting that the OG Bloodline will remain

02:42a faction after the show is done, saying they will remain somewhat connected.

02:48They added this group will continue all the way through the winter, into the Royal Rumble

02:53and things of that nature.

02:55Things of that nature, likely meaning WrestleMania, unless WWE has a new PLE called THINGS OF

03:02THAT NATURE that I have not been alerted about yet.

03:06Oli Davis and Luke Owen speculated the direction of WrestleMania could be Punk vs. Roman, but

03:12WrestleVotes added that Punk is not expected to be involved in this Bloodline story following

03:18Survivor Series.

03:19But also, after Survivor Series is the 10 year anniversary of NEW DAY, NEW DAY ROCKS,

03:55are this will see the on-screen return of Big E, outside of being on pre-show panels

04:02And according to WrestleVotes on Twitter, there are multiple ideas presented for Big

04:06E's appearance on Raw.

04:07They added, we will see what WWE has in store for the group as a whole as we approach Monday.

05:52Hello, I'm Tempest, one half of House of the Black Mask, and this is my AEW Dynamite

05:56review, in about five minutes.

05:58It's Continental Classic season, baby!

06:02And to get things started off, we have Mark Briscoe versus the gold standard Shelton Benjamin

06:07in the Blue League.

06:09Tony, why was Shelton not put in the Gold League?

06:12Just swap the two leagues!

06:14It would make way more sense.

06:16MVP hops on the mic and calls Shelton and Bobby Walter Payton and Michael Jordan, so

06:21I suppose that would mean there are three MVPs in the Hurts Syndicate.

06:24MVP said it's not about him, but about the lessons they teach.

06:28MVP says the youthful exuberance of Swerve turned to arrogance, but at Full Gear, Bobby

06:33Lashley beat that arrogance out of him.

06:34He said that they are merchants of misery, and their mission statement is to win titles

06:39and make money.

06:40This was a great promo, the kind you would come to expect from MVP, and I'll tell you

06:44right now that we hurt people.

06:47We hurt people.

06:49Chant is really getting over.

06:50You watch out for that one.

06:51Mark and Shelton traded shots on the outside during the early goings of this match, but

06:56Shelton cut Mark off with a throw off the top rope.

06:58They traded loads of big shots, and Mark even managed to hit the froggy bow, but he was

07:03too hurt to make the cover, which allowed Shelton to recover, hit another of the meanest

07:07superkicks in the business, and then the t-bone suplex for the win, and his first three points.

07:12Mercedes Monet got brought out to the stage, and she started doing her business.

07:16She put over Chris Statlander, but then before Mercedes was able to fire Camille, Camille

07:21told her to shut up, and told her that she quit.

07:25This actually got a much bigger reaction in the building than you might expect for the

07:28lack of emotional weight that has gone into this partnership, but the Chicago crowd chanted

07:32you deserve it at Mercedes, and personally I just hope that this means we get more great

07:36matches, and less shenanigans from Monet going forward.

07:40Chris Jericho vs Tomohiro Ishii was up next, and they promptly returned to their back and

07:44forth chop fest that started two years ago, and honestly may have never ended.

07:49It worked then, and it works now.

07:51Ishii used his fighting spirit, Jericho used his dirty tricks.

07:54Last time, Ishii made Jericho's titties bleed with chops, this time he made Jericho's

07:59mouth bleed with strikes.

08:01Ishii's face swelled up bad, but a Judas effect and a codebreaker only scored Jericho

08:06a one count.

08:07Ishii mounted a brief comeback, but Jericho hit another couple of Judas effects for the

08:11win.

08:12This was a good match, but nowhere near the quality of their first match, and didn't

08:15get close to the reaction of the last one either.

08:19On stage, Swerve was getting interviewed, and Max Caster walked by laughing, and Swerve

08:22called him out, and Caster tried to start saying that Swerve used to be a house of fire,

08:27but turned that into house fire, and upon the reference of his home being burnt down,

08:32Swerve beat Caster to a pulp.

08:35I love this as a reminder that even in defeat, Swerve is absolutely not someone that should

08:40be played with, and I love it because Max Caster got his ass beat.

08:44That's a f***ing win win to me.

08:47Tony Schiavone brought out Hangman Page, and asked him what he was doing when he attacked

08:50Christopher Daniels, and got involved after the main event of Full Gear.

08:54Hangman said if Christopher Daniels gets in his way again, he will knock him down, and

08:57he will not be getting back up.

08:59He said his goal has always been to be the AEW World Champion, and at Full Gear, he struck

09:04a deal with Christian, and he kept up his end of the bargain, but Christian couldn't

09:08keep his.

09:09If Christian had, then Hangman would be World Champion.

09:12He said that title shouldn't have been Swerve's, or Joe's, or Brian's, or Mox's, it should

09:17be his.

09:18At this point, Hanger was interrupted by Switchblade Jay White, who asked Hangman what happened

09:22when they wrestled at Full Gear, and what happened when they wrestled at Wrestle Dream.

09:27He said if anybody should be wrestling for the AEW World Title, it should be him.

09:31At which point, White was attacked by Pac, and Yuta attacked Hangman, with all of the

09:36Death Riders descending upon White to take him out, and White managed for a brief moment

09:42to nearly hit a Blade Runner on Marina Shafir, but this only led to him getting choked out

09:46by Jon Moxley, and beaten down by the rest of the group.

09:49Thankfully, this led nicely into our next match, with Claudio taking on Ricochet in

09:53the Gold League.

09:54Apropos of nothing, it was at this point that I noticed there was a woman opposite the hard

09:58cam, with a Listen Up Slap Nuts shirt.

10:00Just wanted to point that out, because that's awesome.

10:02And Luke Owen couldn't be here to do it.

10:04People were most interested in chanting one thing for this entire match, and it was this.

10:12Meanwhile, an actual good wrestling match was happening here.

10:15I say good.

10:16These lads seemed very much not on the same page for quite a few moments of this match,

10:21but they are so good, they managed to pull through.

10:24Ricochet managed to do a backflip off of Claudio's shoulders, which was the highlight that was

10:28getting clipped and shared around Twitter, and Blue Sky, follow me there, throughout

10:32the night.

10:33There were also some miscommunication spots, however.

10:35Ricochet hit the slowest suicide dive ever, as Claudio was probably meant to catch him,

10:41but they both just slowly fell down.

10:43They both seemed very frustrated with the bald chance, but Claudio managed to get the

10:47win with a big lariat.

10:49It seems like Claudio is getting a bit of a push with wins on back-to-back shows, and

10:52I am more than okay with that.

10:54Before we get to the rest of the episode, we want to thank everyone who has donated

11:45Adam Cole in the Kingdom came out and said that when he gets his hands on MJF, he's

11:49going to beat him within an inch of his life.

11:51He is interrupted by Kyle O'Reilly, and Kyle told Cole that he tried to fight MJF,

11:55and it didn't work, so let Kyle try.

11:58Cole said that what Kyle told him last week stuck with him, and that it has to be him

12:02to put an end to it.

12:03They bicker, and MJF pops up on the screen while playing the piano to say that he's

12:07not interested, and what he cares about next is the Dynamite Diamond Ring Battle Royal.

12:11Cole and Kyle both announce their entry, and I'm telling you, this program is just

12:15not working.

12:16I like that the Battle Royal is being used for this.

12:19I think it makes more sense than just another jump through MJF's hoops story, but I just

12:23don't think the interest is there for these matches at this point.

12:26Jamie Hayter defeated Queen Aminata in their qualifying match to see who will qualify for

12:30their match at the Women's International 4-Way at WrestleDynasty.

12:34They actually had a very good little match, but you wouldn't know by listening to the

12:38crowd.

12:39Queen Aminata is so f***ing great, and it's nice to see Jamie Hayter on Dynamite again

12:43as well.

12:44I want nothing but the best for both of these women.

12:46It's about time that they start getting behind Queen Aminata as a real player in this

12:50women's division, but that would require them to highlight this women's division

12:53more in general.

12:54Hayter won with the Hayterade, and as she celebrated, a lone spotlight shined down upon

12:59the stage.

13:00Not everyone came out, so this was just SPOOKY MIND GAMES.

13:04Renee interviewed Mina Shirakawa, who said that she always knew that the day would come

13:08that Mariah would turn on her.

13:10If this is the real Mariah, then she's going to introduce her to the real Mina.

13:14It was then that Mariah broke a champagne bottle over her head and whipped her with

13:17the title belt.

13:18It was announced that this is the match for Winter is Coming in two weeks, and it'll

13:22be the biggest title defense Mariah will have had to this point, which is an exciting prospect.

13:27Then it was main event time as Brody King took on Darby Allin in the Gold League.

13:31Darby looked like he was falling apart physically, with his ribs and his leg taped up, and somehow

13:36I doubt the doctor's recommendation was a match with Brody while Darby was in this condition

13:41because holy shit, Brody threw him pillar to post, slamming and crushing him every which

13:45way.

13:46At one point, Brody missed a cannonball into the barricade so hard it knocked out the broadcast

13:52and the commentary.

13:53Darby's eventual comeback consisted of a code red off the top rope, his patented suicide

13:58dive, and a pair of coffin drops from the top to the floor, and my god, the second one.

14:03I could see the light leave Darby Allin's eyes.

14:07He lost years off of his life.

14:09You don't need to be doing this, my guy.

14:11But when Darby went for the third, Brody caught him in a choke and hit the gonzo bomb for

14:15the win, securing three points.

14:18From there, Claudio emerged and grabbed a chair, but before he could get in the ring

14:21to attack Darby, Brody got back in and stood guard.

14:25The baby-facification of Brody King continues.

14:28They announced next week would be Brody and Claudio, and the show ended.

14:31I love the Washington connection that now Darby and Brody are frenemies.

14:37That is such an exciting development.

14:39Overall, there was a lot of good wrestling on the show, and the Hangman segment helped

14:43to add some much needed context and direction to the current world title scene, but this

14:47was an episode absolutely dominated by the C2.

14:50On one hand, that's great, because it means lots of wrestling matches that all have built-in

14:55stakes.

14:56I love a tournament, and I am very much excited for these matches, but if I am being honest,

15:01the lineup for this year's tournament does feel a little bit mid-card.

15:05Not everyone in the tournament falls under this distinction, of course, but last year's

15:08tournament was very fresh and had guys like Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Jay White, Swerve

15:14Strickland, Eddie Kingston at the top of the heap.

15:16It felt like that tournament was what most of the top guys in the company were fighting

15:20to win, whereas now the top guys are more or less limited to Will Ospreay and Kazuchika

15:25Okada, the latter of which we haven't even seen for a while.

15:28Now this could mean that the tournament is being used to highlight and elevate some of

15:32the other members of the roster, like Kyle Fletcher, Shelton Benjamin, and Brody King,

15:36and I very much hope everyone comes out of the tournament better off for having been

15:39in it, but in the meantime, it does feel a bit more like a tournament for a mid-card

15:43belt than it did last year.

15:45This episode of Dynamite gets a 4 out of 5.
