00:00Now, while Al-Fayed is no longer alive to face prosecution, we are determined to bring
00:05anyone who is suspected to have played a part in his offending to justice.
00:10As a result of inquiries so far, we have now launched an investigation into a number of
00:14people associated with Mohammed Al-Fayed.
00:18This investigation will look at what role those individuals may have played in facilitating
00:23or enabling his offending, and what opportunities they had to protect victims from his horrendous
00:28abuse.
00:29Our priority is to provide justice, answers and support those affected by these awful
00:35crimes.
00:37Given the scale and historic nature of the offending, this investigation is going to
00:41take time.
00:43But we will approach this case with integrity, sensitivity and the thoroughness it demands.
