00:00In response to the previous question, I would like to clarify that Malaysia's relationship
00:08with the United States in terms of diplomacy is still good, and we continue to share comprehensive
00:20cooperation, including meetings.
00:23Including meetings with the Secretary of State of the United States, Anthony Blinken.
00:31I also took the time to discuss with Anthony Blinken, even though he will leave the office.
00:42But the relationship involves investment, trade, and diplomatic cooperation.
00:50And as we understand, from January to October 2024, the number of bilateral trade between
01:01Malaysia and the United States has increased by 29.1 percent to 264.28 billion ringgit.
01:13That is a rather high increase of 57.76 billion dollars from 204.78 billion ringgit
01:25to 45.09 billion dollars at the same time in 2023.
01:34The projects have been carried out and are ready to be completed in 1321 with an overall
01:42investment of 39 billion dollars.
01:46We are also concerned about the latest developments, including the latest actions regarding tariffs
01:55for Mexico, Canada, and China.
02:00So far, we have observed that it does not involve issues of foreign policy, including Gaza
02:10or Palestine.
02:11It involves payment issues between the two countries where there is a deficit, as President
02:22Donald Trump announced during the campaign.
02:26We are now carrying out all relations with the new team as part of our efforts.
02:34But as a free and independent country, our position on international issues, including
02:42violence, cruelty, abuse, and colonization in Palestine and Gaza, will continue to be
02:49voiced.
02:50And I do not think that economic growth, while it is very important, can affect our
02:57position or reduce or restrain our position in voicing the rights, demands, and justice
03:06for the Palestinian people, especially in Gaza.
