00:00North Carolina falls to Auburn yesterday, but Auburn improves to 6-0.
00:07They're a top five team in the country. They take on perhaps a little bit of a
00:10surprising Memphis team who had a lot of turmoil during the offseason with their
00:15coaching staff, but they moved to 6-0. That's the Maui Championship today.
00:19What do you feel like Memphis can do against this Auburn team? Yeah, I think
00:24that where Memphis has struggled, even in winning their first two games, they've
00:28been great. To win those two games, UConn was huge, and then again in the
00:34semifinals, another enormous victory, this one over Michigan State. In both of those
00:38games, they built significant leads and struggled in the final three minutes to
00:42close out. Even though they've got multiple ball handlers, multiple attacking
00:47players, excellent free-throw shooting when the ball's in those players' hands,
00:51they've got to be able to be more aggressive in those situations at the
00:56right times. Obviously, kill the time, but then be aggressive. Instead, they're
00:59killing time and then taking pull-ups. They're not getting fouled, and they're
01:03not protecting their leads. If they're able to get a lead against Auburn, and I
01:07would probably say that Auburn is able to control this game, but if they're able
01:11to get a lead against Auburn, they have to close out. Auburn, defensively, as good
01:15as a team as there is in the country right now, 1-5 on the floor
01:20and 1-9 overall in their lineup, they're an excellent defensive team.
01:25I think Memphis struggles against that today.
